When Robert enters the stage I have the feeling when he is acting as Tony Stark he is actually playing himself. From behavior point of view I cannot see a difference between those two characters 😃

He mentioned on an interview with Howard Stern how he auditioned. He basically had to convince himself he was in that situation already, not going in as an actor Robert to play Tony, a rich genius, but that he -was- this rich genius. That Tony was him already. He turned up in a beat up old car with the best suit he could find but when asked how he got there he said a fleet of Rolls Royce. That's why the two are so flawless and seem interchangeable, he really blended the line with the role and it's so iconic.

Establish, Avengers 4 is not part 2 to infinity War. It was originally planned to be, but now Infinity War is going to be it's own movie, and Avengers 4 is going to be a completely different story.

RDJ took the chance at playing a not so well known superhero (at least not to the casual movie goer), and he brought that character to life in so many ways. Regardless of his financial situations, it was he that took the role and started it all. You're wrong when you say "anyone would have taken it" that is so wrong it's pathetic to even hear. Obviously you never heard about being typecast after taking on a superhero role. Plenty of actors are afraid of this, or at least were back then. No one jumped at superhero roles back then.
