She LOVED it. Then she remember that he hates it. She realized he was about to do something that would hurt him on a deeper level and knew she had to save him from himself. Even if it was a perfectly Demon thing to do that she appreciated, it was a completely antithetical to his nature and would hurt him profoundly.

There's an old story about an old man being attacked by bullies. The man's wife then comes and beats the bullies singlehandedly. When asked where she learned to fight, she explains that her husband taught her, and the reason he refused to fight back is because he can no longer strike someone without killing them. It is dangerous to assume that someone who has chosen pacifism does so because they are weak or cowardly, because they may simply have decided that they are tired of burying the bodies.

i would argue, that he still held back here. Afterall, his skills are unlimited and he has access to very powerful magic. Yet he just went physical and punched her the entire time with bare hands. If he wanted, he could have erased her pretty fast.

I think the reason he didn't is because... *he was in blind rage.* No cogesive thought, man just wanted to unleash every fiber of hatred in him and make the djinn suffer as much as possible while at it. Crazy, I know, but we can be far more sophisticated (even in torture) when we're calm and collected then when our emotions are erupting like a volcano.

Between Ryas's possessiveness for Flio and Flio's fury over seeing Rys dead(supposedly in his eyes) I don't know which one is scarier 😥😨😰😱. Flio is MUCH stronger than his wife and doesn't get angry often at all a delicate balance. Rys is FAR more sinister and angry a lot and she can be about as dangerous to anyone weaker than her husband and the dark one.
