A non-traditional review that hopefully helps those searching, as I was, for the right Ebike. I go over everything from packaging, assembly, ride, power, riding as a Type 1 Diabetic (or with health issues) etc. Lots of other great reviews out there but this one might make you see some other perspectives. #aventon #aventure #ebike #t1d #diabetes

The intro got cut off but I'll leave the video as is since it doesn't change the overall content of the video. The abrupt start was not intended though 😂

You did a nice job with the video, picked up same model 12 days ago and I'm highly satisfied, so happy I waited and didn't choose other brands, what an amazing bike.

Great video, thanks for the awesome info. Currently looking into this bike as a fat tire replacement for my Trek Verve 2+

It's been a blast so far. Minor adjustments as the chain and gears break in but other than that it is great. There is some vibration around 17 mph or so, as other channel's have noted, and there is apparently an easy fix but I haven't gotten around to doing a video on it yet. I'd still buy again without a doubt though.

Wanted to mention that if you're going to put the step through on a vehicle rack, you need to purchase the add on top rack for it to stay on the rack. I wish I had known this when I bought the bike and the phone mount, & water bottle cage because now I have to purchase it separately and it won't include free shipping for the bar because for that separate order I won't exceed the $100.00 mark to get free shipping. I will be calling Aventon and discussing this. I'll let you know how that turns out.

I used to have the Adventure 2....advice on affordable seat post I used the Suntour NCX (think that's proper model). Bought mine on Amazon, and you can get a softer or stiffer spring (believe red is the stiffer) and it's smooth. I'm a bit heavier than you, and it worked for me. First E-bike was back in 2019 the original Lectric XP 1.0 Second, Adventure 2 Third, Specialized Como 5.0 IGH (yes it's expensive at nearly $6k) Fourth, the new 2024 Wired Freedom. Fifth, the Wallke H6 MAX with dual battery kit, so I have 60 Ah of battery total. I sold the Adventure 2 a few weeks after I bought the Como and regretted it as I had really gotten it "dialed in" with the accessories, especially that Suntour setup. My only complaint with it and the first bike is the smallish battery. Of the 3 bike I presently have the Como 19.2 or is it 19.6 Ah battery is the smallest, Freedom 20 Ah, then the 60 Ah system on the H6. The Adventure 2 in my opinion for the average using is a superb bike. It is either 77 or 78 lbs. Xp was 67 or there about, Como is 62 and a mid-drive, Freedom 88, and the Wallke H6 with just the single battery 99. So yes e-bikes are heavy. Good overall video and points.

Thanks for the info on the seat and the details about your bikes...very helpful. I almost got a Wired Freedom but decided on the Aventon bec I like the seemingly better quality control and dealer network. Plus, I'd never really use that power :)

@@steamedwhiterice Yes the Freedom is a real Beast, I like it, but the Freedom and the Wallke H6 both have cadence sensors. The Adventure 2 and the Como (mid-drive) both have torque sensors, which I personally prefer. The one thing about the Freedom, and the main reason I bought it, is the full suspension, it's close to riding on a cloud. As I mentioned, the Suntour seat post with proper spring will get the Adventure 2 most of the way to the ride of a Freedom. I bought the smallest post size and got a spacer to match the size of the Adventure 2. Believe the spacer/shim is around $10-11. There is a YTer called Tinkering Turtle that has a very good video on the Suntour, and he's a larger guy like us also.

I'll absolutely check out that seat, thanks! I like the torque sensor too but I have not tried the cadence one. I like the fact that it feels more like you're still pedaling a normal bike and can just modulate the assistance levels. @@NOWitsOKto

@@steamedwhiterice Torque gives more of a natural cycling feel, as you stated in the video. A Cadence sensor is more like an ON/OFF switch and in nearly all cases will take you up to the maximum of the pedal assist selected, example PAS 1 might be 10 mph. So eventually you will get to 10mph, no matter if you just barely pedal. In you were pedaling next to a person walking, the cadence sensor would out pace them, where the torque allows you to go as slow is you like. With that said, torque sensors are normally more common, and more expensive. In my opinion, if you are looking to get a better workout, torque sensor is the way to go, having owned several of both types.
