I actually prefer Explorer. I prefer bergamot to pineapple and the dry down is just more accessible and easier to wear. It works so well on my skin, I get crazy compliments on it.
I personally prefer Monte Blanc Explorer. I don’t have to worry about batch variations as with Creeds. Some are smoky others are more pineapple. CDNIM & Explorer always garner excellent unsolicited compliments, excellent longevity & doesn’t hurt my wallet! 4-5 sprays and I’m good all day. I can even smell it on my clothes the next day. 👍🏾👍🏾🇦🇺 Totally a GO!
Yeah i completely agree the reformulation ruined aventus & really pissed me off. I first got the 2015 OG Pineapple dominated scent which knocked my socks off. Yet they stupidly decided to reformulate it which got rid of the pineapple and left us with a smoky headache inducing mess.

I really like the way you go through each of the scent notes. Great comparison. The Mont Blanc Explorer smells better & is 1/4 the price. It's not cheap smelling. It is a great value.
@@masterhand20 and one of the biggest reasons people hate axe is because the pressure in the can is very high and people use too much of it unintentionaly
@@fredroed1889 I notice an axe body spray-like note in explorer as well. I notice the same note in Prada Carbon, but it seems to be done slightly better in the Prada than the Mont Blanc.
I’ve got Montblanc Explorer yesterday, since it was on my fragrantica wish list and caught a great deal. Having both Aventus and Explorer side by side I really prefer Explorer, it simply doesn’t have the unbearable pineapple scent of Aventus opening.
Montblanc explorer is my all time favorite fragrance AND you can wear this ANY season DAY OR NIGHT and literally ANY occasion you can possibly think of.
As many clones i tried, no one came close to Aventus on the opening. That pineapple burst is something out of a fantasy book really ... 10/10 for the vid btw, the fact you you detailed an always overlooked detail, the atomiser, is huge thumbs up!!
So glad to be following your channel. You have great style and such a lovely voice. 🙂 If a person can easily afford it Creed Aventus is the right choice for sure. If someone is on a budget and wants to have money left to purchase other fragrances then Explorer or one of the other clones is the way to go. ✌💕🙏
My personal opinion I tried Mont Blanc when it first came out and I did like it. I tried Aventus as well and really liked that as well but thing is I would never be able to afford Aventus, so I would probably choose Mont Blanc because of the price.
I have both Aventus and Explorer . Both great Scents but explorer being 1/4 of the price of Aventus . I can’t justify spending that extra $$ on Aventus moving forward !
Not everyone has the same nose, if u know what I mean. Seen many reviews, and its a compliment getter. Most of the women love the smell. And, I have no idea how you test the longevity but on me it lasts the whole day after the typical 5 sprays. I can even smell it the next day. Best blind buy.
I like Mont Blanc Explorer, though I have yet to get the chance to try Aventus. The Explorer lasted a good 7-8 hours for me(3 sprays, back of ears & chest). Projection wise I think this is moderate, which is just nice for me. Great review btw! It is always good to hear a lady's take on men's fragrances. Keep it up!
Me and my fiancé tried Aventus, explorer and some other niche fragrance at a local fragrance store this past weekend and after ab 5 mins you couldn’t tell any of em apart. Explorer stayed on my arm all night and could still smell it the next morning. Aventus was gone!
there is absolutely no comparation between the two:) i have no idea how newer batches of aventus are... but Aventus smells expensive, smells quality... its very deep and complex...there is no match on the market at the moment...monbland is decent but lacks complexity
This was an excellent clip. I was one of those who asked for the Mont Blanc Explorer review too! I really enjoyed this style of review, asking the most pertinent questions and then answering them. I would like to see more reviews in the future from you in this style on some more fragrances. Not necessarily how do clones compare to the originals but just reviewing any fragrance (which might be a clone). Great work Monika!
Club De Nuit Intense Man is a better "clone" if thats what you are after. The projecton of CDNIM is great and great longevity. The opening is a little harsh but the dry down is good. Hard to beat it for $28. Mont Blanc Explorer isn't bad either. Great video 👍 Aventus is a better overall fragrance than Explorer
Creed Aventus in 2020 that has a batch number ending with an "N" like mine, last only 45 minutes...if you're lucky! Shame on Creed. Pretty sad, I'm better off with a $50 bottle of Explorer, after spending so much on Aventus, oh well. Great review by the way!
I own Aventus & put off getting explorer as I thought it wasn’t needed. This week I thought I’d try it & was highly impressed. I’m with you I prefer mont blanc to the creed, now creed have started to be hit & miss with its batches.
I went through full bottles of both MB Explorer and Aventus, the biggest difference for me is in how you personally feel wearing 50$ vs 300$ fragrance, because the scent of both these is close. I never had them at the same time to compare side by side. I have yet to check out the arabian clones.
The MC Explorer lasts on me for about 12-14 hrs with just 2 sprays…. I have the 100ml bottle that might make a difference with the atomisers😍…. I love the perfume and wear it almost everyday

For those people unfamiliar with the torrent of Aventus clones out there, this is an easy buy at popular retailers. But the day Dior comes out with their version is the day I give up on designers. Probably. 😂
I wear Explorer for work daily only switching for Paco Rabbane Invictus on weekends to add that bubblegum crazyness into a day. Explorer is amazing hit, it even works for long work days 11-12 hours at work, customer ladies actualy compliment the that i smell good even when i don`t feel the smell on me, and i do smoke in work and still get compliments on explorer smell. Maybe it`s my batches as i always get the UK KGA marked batches and they are so good, a friend of mine actualy noticed that UK batches i buy are somehow better than his bottle without any markings at all on the bottom and still oryginal so we think country of distribution is also a Mon`t blanc factor.
I prefer Explorer, despite its poor performance. I just respray. As a very amatuer videographer, I'm really impressed with the editing and presentation clips and effects you do. Do you and your husband both do the editing, or just one of you primarily? It's nice work and content, regardless. Looking forward to watching your Fragmental collab review.
Personally i have a bottle of Creed Aventus. It was a Xmas gift a couple of years ago. And honestly it's know way i would pay the price for it. I mean Explore is not identical to Creed but for what not cost i am happy bro have it and for real if someone didn't know about Creed and they smelt Explore i think you would get a lot compliments. Why spend stupid money for a bottle of Creed

Bought Explorer after having had a sample of Aventus for a while, but to me the difference is really night and day. Explorer just performs terrible compared to Aventus. Even after several sprays I could barely smell it after just 15 minutes which was definitely not the case with Aventus.
its prolly the sweetness of that inital note that you crave. The pineapple does wear off rather quickly ive noticed as well. Also if you wash your clothes with a v strong smelling detergent itll mess up the sniffer. I do notice the scent on some clothes after a few days of wear and sprays.
I've had Aventus! Was highly complimented. I have a bottle of CDNI and Insurrection Pure II. I just ordered this along with Bois De Vetiver and a second bottle of Coach for Men. I like my fresh and clean scents.
I like Aventus more. It has a very high quality ingredients. You feel they are natural and non-touched. It's very masculine but it is a 90s and early 2000s masculinity
I got explorer and it is ok for the price, similar to aventus but not the same. The opening on explorer is better form scent got me and I buy it... ok scent nothing special. Love your videos and intresting content, keep it up , nice work.

i would say buy all of them... i just bought starwalker and it is extremely similar to versace eau fraiche (its better starwalker), y really like legend spirit ( i like sweet scents but it is smooth) and im planning to buy explorer since it is a more refined version of club de nuit intense which i dont like because of the opening (the intense lemon note)....

Witam 😁 Lubię oglądać Twoje filmy, jednak w tym przypadku jeśli chodzi o porównywania Aventusa do montblanc, czy chociażby innych tanich zamienników jest trochę na wyrost. Aventus przynajmniej mój z 2015r. wspaniałe układa się na skórze i rozwija. Czuć tu naturalne składniki i do tego ma najlepsza bazę zapachu. Montblanc to tylko, według mnie fajny świeży, syntetyczny zapach. Początek jest ładny, ale im dalej w las to czuć ten syntetyczny ambroxan. To oczywiście jest tylko moja opinia 😏☺️
Exactly. The (2015) batch of Aventus. They have reformulated to the point you can no longer justify paying the price to just gamble on getting a watered down version. Felt robbed when i got the recent version.
those are safe blind buys, although blind buying is no longer necessary. always get a sample or decant 1st to make sure you're spending your money on a bottle you really like
When I first smelled Explorer, I thought it was very similar to Aventus. When I compared them side by side, even then the scent was very similar. However, there's a lot more nuance in Aventus and it smells a LOT more natural than Explorer. Explorer is quite synthetic and sweeter than Aventus. For me, the oakmoss in Aventus is where it's at. Beautifully smoky, natural and masculine. Explorer is good and (maybe more) mass appealing, but it lacks a lot of refinement.
Imo its not a clone at all.. It has the same Vibe, like Fresh Opening with a musky woody drydown, but it smeels sooooo much different compared to aventus… in the end, i like and own them both… but aventus works still way better for me..
I had been perceiving this exotic fragrance of MONT blanc explorer from one of my colleagues even when he's not close to me , I still perceived it. So, I just couldn't refrain my urge but asked him the name of his fragrance coz it smells so fresh . He told me and was so contented .. gonna get mine ASAP.
I was given "Venetian Blue" from the merchant of Venice, and to me, Explorer is a weaker version of this. I got a good deal on the travel bottle of Explorer and keep it in the gym bag and always pick up at least one compliment when I wear it, people just seem to like it and of course, they don't know the difference between Aventus and Explorer.
I smell explorer out of the bottle or on a tester strip and it smells really good I’d you haven’t tried it guys try it smells great however on my skin..... stinks. It comes off stinky and it’s the first time I’ve had that happen when a scent smells really nice on a strip but on my skin it goes beyond not working it actually stinks a bit. A shame.
