Thanks so much for this fantastic upload! I saw the original Broadway production , and the actors here are of the same caliber. And the staging in this production somehow makes what the puppeteers are doing more visible, which was really interesting. Good audio, close up video- it’s perfect for people who have never seen the show before and want to know what it is like. Thanks again!
Yeah the puppets are cheap except kate cause she almost looks like a generic muppet monster that could be used for anything tbh gamerduck plus btw some puppets look off
I'm a big Avenue Q fan... this cast and the direction are awesome! Some of the puppets look a bit off though... and somehow I found it more noticeable than usual that the two hand puppets' arms are not their own (?) P.s.: Where was this?
Honestly the more of this I watch... the cast and direction... for me these are on par with those on the original performances/the one at the Gielgud Theatre in England that I saw. Surely some of the other productions are good in their own ways, but this one is the first where I feel like they kept true to the original ideas and yet still managed to add something new and fresh.
And plus at one point trekkie monster's horn fell off and also kate almost looks like a character that would be used for sesame street or muppets in general tbh
There are some great performances of Avenue Q on RU-vid but the video and audio quality have always been lacking -- until now. Wonderful performances by energetic and talented actors & musicians PLUS the video and audio quality is great. Thanks for posting! Also, what production is this? The only info listed is a date Jan. 26, 2018.

@@Danielle-cl6ky That looks like the exact same performance of the show, but the other one looks like the raw footage from the in-audience camera while this one looks like the final, edited version. I'm actually watching the two side by side and synchronized right now :) they're definitely identical. This performance is really exceptional. Probably the closest to the Broadway performance I've seen on RU-vid (and I'm pretty sure I've seen every single one) -- and definitely looks way better than the Broadway performance available here. Very impressed!
