हल: 1 से 67 तक प्राकृतिक संख्याएँ दी गई हैं।
n प्राकृतिक संख्याओं का औसत = (n+1)/2
यहाँ, n = 67
औसत = (67+1)/2 = 68/2 = 34
प्र.4: 7 क्रमागत संख्याओं का औसत 20 है। इनमें सबसे बड़ी संख्या क्या है?
हल: मान लीजिए 7 क्रमागत संख्याएँ x, x + 1, x + 2, x + 3, x + 4, x + 5 और x + 6 हैं।
दी गई शर्त के अनुसार;
[एक्स + (एक्स + 1) + (एक्स + 2) + (एक्स + 3) + (एक्स + 4) + (एक्स + 5) + (एक्स + 6)] / 7 = 20
⇒ 7x + 21 = 140
⇒ 7x = 119
⇒ एक्स =17
सबसे बड़ी संख्या = x + 6 = 23.
