I love Avery's rendition of this song & his patience with the background singers not blending. The crowd was such a surprise as well. Avery is an impressive performer
YESS!! he did, but I must admit I have seen artists signal the sound people to cut off their backgrounds mics, read the background singers for sounding as horrible, to ushering them away from the mics to go sit in the audience. He showed a lot of constraints. I would have been a savage and employed all three of these options, given the fact that not only were they not singing in any recognizable key, but they were also so unprofessional, giggling and talking the entire time.
On top of being an amazing vocalist, he is also incredible at leading his band, back up vocals and the crowd! That takes an entirely different type of confidence and talent... GREAT JOB AVERY
As soon he would've got down on his knees and begged for me to stay, I would have snatched that mic and said "kept!" 🤣 And why the audience sound better than the background singers!? 🤦♀️🤣😫
The background singers aren’t bad singers. They were just singing out of their range. Especially that one guy who overpowered and effected the other two
True but the girl could've sang the melody and the guy could've sang the lower harmony rather than the girl singing the higher harmony and the guy singing the melody. As professional they could've worked it out before getting on stage sounding like that
@@joykeel2505 agreed - from what I can tell the guy wasn't bad at all, however the girl is in her head voice which isn't gonna compete with a grown man. I've been singing background for years and I know they could tell their levels were off, and could've course corrected before the 2nd chorus at least!
@@realSimoneCherie You and joy are exactly right. That man had no business singing the melody up there like that. If you are a professional, and you can’t hear yourself off like that, then something is wrong. I’m a choir director myself, and I would’ve INVERTED them downward real quick! That upper harmony is nice to have in this song, but intonation and tone quality is necessary!
Thank God for Tank, for introducing me to Avery Wilson, through the "Can We Talk?" Challenge...Blown away. (Shame about the BVs...). Love from the UK! Would LOVE to see him do a concert here. 😍
They're singing in the key of Z flat. All you can say is what the mothers of the church would say when you messed up your Easter speech, "Bless em LORD"
Didn't wanna say a thang about the backing vocals but dang, they everywhere... Big up to the main guy though, nice one Avery, u killed it... It's almost like it's your song...

I actually happen to like this performance ! Avery outdid hisself as always😍 background could of been a lil better but those notes are a lil high to be hitting over and over in their defense 😩😓
He literally grabbed three random folks out the audience for background vocals! I know this my second time commenting BUT the background singers are really singing on whatever key they feel is fit!!!! The big apple in the back (the girl) is sooo flat, and why that dang male vocalist (I use vocalist with EXTREME CAUTION) so dang LOUD AND WRONG!! 😫🙈🤷♀️🤦♀️

Now that's what I'm talking about Avery, this performance was outstanding. I can use a little help with my vocals, let me know if we can work something out. Now don't be shy about it, you hear.😁😁😁
See how good you sound when you just keep it simple, Avery? You sound hella good. I'm not saying don't riff and run at all. I just want them to flow and actually make sense.
I thought the background singers were trash just on the song "Weak," but listening to this confirmed that Avery just needed better background singers. Smh.
