That was my first thought when I first heard animal collective too. I thought "wow, I didn't know there was music like this where they're combining sounds from all over the world!" I did start with here comes the indian to be fair.

A dolphin and a cow? Makes me.think of...Manatees? Are we gonna get some Danse Manatee related style release from the full band today?

And Panda is a Cancer (water sign ♋) and Avey is a Taurus (bull = cow... ♉)...really makes you think?!?

I can't wait to get into it. Eucalyptus is an easy 10/10 for me, there's really nothing quite like it. Although, if someone proves me wrong I will be absolutely delighted to hear more psychedelic, freaky/weird, textured, synesthesia-inducing music.

@@Doryoku96 Yeahhhhh !!! I hate myself for comparing EVERYTHING to Animal Collective. It kinda reminds me of the people in college who said that the Beatles invented everything 😡. To me the closest thing to AC is Oneohtrix Point Never, I love his last 3 albums especially. And then later I discovered this band called Big Thief which shocked me for what seemed like some boring washed out garage rock band on the surface.

I've listened to Magic Oneohtrix Point Never a lot, one of the trippiest albums I've ever heard - to the point where it's almost a little intimidating, haha. I can't say I've found anything truly similar to Animal Collective's particular style of Psychedelia, but here are some other artists that are up there in terms of how much they "get it" if you know what I mean: - MGMT (Congratulations is really great but everything after it, albums and 2-track project alike, is masterpiece-worthy in my opinion) - Shpongle (one of those rare bands where you could listen to any album at random and it'll always be perfect) - Mid-Air Thief (quite new, he also released some music under Hyoo; Crumbling is his current magnum opus in my opinion and is both humbling and a pleasure to trip to) - Spirit of the Beehive (their name reminds me of Animal Collective's song Honeycomb; not much else to say since I only recently discovered them, but listen to ENTERTAINMENT, DEATH) - Dan Deacon (Bromst is good, America is great, Gliss Riffer is great, but Mystic Familiar is an absolute masterpiece and one of the most thrilling and emotionally fulfilling rides I've ever taken, and I'm addicted to it) - Beach House (a bit of an outlier on this list as they're less overall trippy, but check this out sometime in the future, and if you do trip, consider watching while you're tripping: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Dyclbb_6Ycs.html )

@@micklethepickleman I have been listening to the album Slide by George Clanton on a loop lately. It's like Oneohtrix Point Never but more accessible. I am obsessed. I also agree with all of the artists you mentioned. I listened to Congratulations and Little Dark Age on a loop for months. Dan Deacon is alright, but I think he's kinda bland compared to similar artists like Of Montreal. Beach House is your typical depressed indie band. Off the top of my head they sound just like: Wild Nothing, Beach Fossils, Destroyer, Deerhunter etc...

If the rest are like this, and we could get essentially an album of In the Flowers, yeah it would be wonderful, regardless excited ;)
