Avian Vet Dr Ross Perry brings you a video of a post purchase health care check of baby Budgie "Peabo" at 6 weeks of age on 120611. As a Holistic Avian Vet, Dr Ross Perry spends time talking to and reassuring Peabo before getting on with his physical examination. Early in the examination Dr Ross Perry notes Peabo has a soiled vent and also has feather mites. Many other clinical signs appear to be normal. Even tho Peabo hasn't had his wings clipped and will be allowed to fly around the house in due course, Dr Ross Perry is able to demonstrate twice how he calms many budgies and other birds through directing calming loving energy from his hands with focused intent . Be sure to watch more videos in this series.

I love watching Dr Perry's videos, he does clearly have a gift and is an excellent practitioner delivering 1st level care with love and compassion..How wonderful if all vets could begin to learn by this way of being. I pray all animals who need human help are cared for in such a beautiful way. We now know why all the little birds would come and sit on St Francis shoulder so peaceful and the wolf would listen to him...So wonderful...

I lost my warrior Chico (calopsita) on 07/22/17 of heavy metal poisoning. After months of misdiagnosis and treatment ... He had several seizures and a very serious neurological damage. In Brazil this disease is largely ignored by some inexperienced veterinarians. He fought beautifully for 90 days. He was a great warrior and leaves many lessons. He was not just a pet bird, it was a great lesson in life and strength when one is weaker. Sad !

Thank you, Naeeem. Years of learning to removing the blocks and judgments to accepting and loving myself then learning that this love empathy and more can be projected to and through birds and others and can be further enhanced by acknowledging connection with highest self and inviting/asking for help from beings of light happy to help. At least that is part of it for some situations. Blessings, Doctor Ross Perry

Ross Perry Hi Dr Ross...It was so amazing to see how you handled that bird. The bird was so calm, even though you were a stranger to him...I have a budgie and he is a year old now. He isn't scared of me and I have taught him a few tricks as well. so he is comfortable with me. But I never really grabbed him or pet him, as I noticed that he was getting irritated. So I stopped and now he doesn't let me grab him or pet him. Is there anyway to make him comfortable with me grabbing him and pet him on the head, tummy... Cheers, Iashrai :)

i went into petsmart today, and walked over to the birds. what i saw was heartbreaking. all these wonderful little creatures all looked so sick, sitting on perches with there heads tucked in there wings, fluffed up feathers, and sleeping. lots of parakeets had tail pumping, and wabbling on there perches, some were trying to fly freeley, but had no space,i was about to cry. and then i thought of u. i said to myself. if i could i would take all these little guys, they would go to Dr. ross perry.

We once had a pet cockateil and a pet budgie...They were good companions...but in separate adjacent cages. The "budgie" learned to speak by imitating the "cockateil." As we (my family) tried to teach our dear cockateil new words and phrases, something weird happened. Our orange-cheeked, yellow-crested cockateil did not learn the new words or phrases that we tried to teach it...BUT our little blue budgie DID, ironically. R.I.P. "PRETTY BIRD" AND "TINY BLUE"... 🐦

I am making a remarkable recovery from very advanced metastatic prostate cancer thank you. I am taking a year off as part of my recovery. Notice that Dr Ross Perry is having 1 years rest until 1st August 2020. As of 30th July 2019 I am taking "sabatical" leave for 1 year off all things veterinary and all things dowsing while I heal completely from highly metastatic malignant prostate cancer. I am sorry if I have disappointed you. I look forward to helping you all again from 1st August 2020! In the meantime please avail yourselves of much information and books noted in www.goldcoastbirdvet.com, www.dowsing4health.com, ru-vid.com , ru-vid.com, www.pbfdcircovirus.com and my other websites. If your bird is sick get a BIRD vet to advise you, and perhaps get a holistic bird vet as a second opinion before accepting any advice that nothing can be done, your bird is suffering and needs to be euthanased. In my past experience often much can be done if you and your vet are happy to look outside regular veterinary practice and explore things such as ZeoActiv8, Ambrotose, CBD oil etc. Blessings of love and gratitude, Dr Ross Perry

My knowledge of calming birds embraces various aspects of the physical emotional and spiritual and setting focused intent for both me and them to feel and be calm, reassured, trusting and loving. For a male this is multitasking and requiring concentration, especially when I am also inspecting for diagnostic purposes and answering questions etc at same time. It has taken me a lot of practice, though hopefully the understanding I now express here will help many others do so much more easily.

How do u keep the budgie calm my last budgie got a respiratory infection and he was hard to treat he was tame just didn't keep calm when holding like that. Unfortunately the treatment didn't work and I made a choice in his best interests to get him put down he was very unwell and he was quite old for a budgie . But me and my family have decided we are ready for another budgie and want to know how to hold them like that should I do it when they are little so if in future I have to treat the bird with medication again ? Sorry for the long questions ...

Brown stains above the nostrils can be indicative of an active upper respiratory tract infection, possibly chlamydia, that can be very serious sometimes, or it can be sign of a similar infection that has now resolved in the interval since those feathers were last moulted. Dr Ross Perry

My parakeet died three days ago. I used to think that they are just birds, and I didn’t even know how much I love my birds. One of them got sick and on Sunday evening I couldn’t find a specialist, and I read online that if these birds are ill, then you should keep them in a warm place. I did wrap her in a towel and placed her in a quiet and warm place. After about an hour, it started to feel better and showed some action. But, I was fooled by that thinking she is feeling better and went to sleep, when I woke up I found her dead. Apparently, when birds are feeling sick, they stop eating and drinking. Which they will die not from feeling sick but they will die from dehydration and starving. When you see them feeling sick, you must force feed them something like blended oatmeal, and inset i]the food into a birds month with medical syringe. You have to force feed the bird little bit by little every 2-3 hours. Give them water also through medical syringe. To keep them hydrated. I wish I knew all these before my bird died, then I would be able to save mine.... I didn’t know how much I love my bird until after it died....because it is impossible not to love these beautiful creatures. I hope this will help to save other birds, because I if someone had told me all these before my bird died, perhaps she would have been alive now. But, I thought if the bird is feeling sick then they have to be left alone to recover, but this is not the case with birds at all. You must force feed them a soft watery food like oatmeal blended, or oat groats washed and mix it hot water and blend it. Wait until it will be warm, as you cannot give your bird hot or cold food. And if you think your bird got poisoned, then you can give water mixed with activated charcoal. Someone I know was able to save her bird by doing all these things. I wanted to share, so that other people would know too. Keep their water fresh, and feed them fresh vegetables and fruits too along with the parakeet food. I hope these little birds and all other animals and creatures will always stay healthy and live a very long and happy life. I just miss my bird so much. I had no idea how much I love her, until after she died......

Thank you for asking me to help your bird. You obviously need professional help. The way I can help you remotely is as follows: Remote bird health advice and help Veterinary Law internationally and locally makes it illegal for vets to give advice without having physically examined the animal recently and /or without being asked for another opinion by a vet who has done so. Perhaps you can ask your vet for a referral to me to explore holistic options for helping your bird(s)? or I can take my veterinary hat off and work as a Spiritual and Scientific Dowser using a series of charts I have created including diseases, drugs, body parts etc of people and a range of animals including dogs, birds and remotely tune into your bird's quantum energy field and evaluate answers on an exponential scale from 0 to positive 180 and 0 to negative 180 re status, wisdom, vitality etc. This work costs $70 for up to first 15 minutes with the first 15 minutes pre=paid, payable to drrossperry1@gmail.com via paypal or direct transfer to Perrecca P/L NAB Bank BSB 082330 account number 516897373 and thereafter $65/15 minutes or part thereof. I can also do transformative invocations and evaluate the almost immediate changes that occur with many of the above parameters. The wisdom of giving various drugs, remedies and courses of action can also be evaluated. None of this work is a veterinary diagnosis, veterinary advice or veterinary treatment. It is a remote reading of probabilities and possibilities as determined by scientific dowsing. I would anticipate 30-60 minutes work for full work up etc. tho you/we should have a good idea of probabilities and possibilities in first 15 minutes. You can Skype video call DoctorRossPerry while I m doing it and I provide a summary print out of key findings within the time available. Let me know your bird's name and send me at least one preferably more macro photos and/or videos of aspects of your bird and a detailed history of veterinary care so far if at all possible if you want to proceed. See also Dowsing from the Heart E-book www.goldcoastbirdvet.com/store/p157/%22Dowsing_From_The_Heart%22_%28Book_1%29__eBook_by_Dr_Ross_Perry.html Blessings, Ross Perry.

It can hurt if it is not done professionally with the bird restrained and calmed. I regard the pain akin to a needle prick, quick and over and done with, if done properly on the first attempt. However, if I am plucking many large quills during one consultation I use general anaesthesia. Calming helps a lot but often takes time even when you know how to do it to the extent I can. Even now there is lots of room for improvement in my calming techniques. Plucking blood quills risks bleeding, pressur

Perhaps you can ask your vet for a referral to me to explore holistic options for helping your bird(s)? or I can take my veterinary hat off and work as a scientific dowser using a series of charts I have created including diseases, drugs, body parts etc of people and a range of animals including dogs, birds and remotely tune into your bird's quantum energy field and evaluate answers on an exponential scale from 0 to positive 180 and 0 to negative 180 re status, wisdom, vitality etc. Hi, i recently got a budgie from the pet store its been about 3 weeks.I believe its a few months old. It has been very cold here in california, ive been wrapping her cage in multiple blankets and keeping her away from window drafts and i never have my room ceiling fan on unless her cage is covered. Shes been eating fine and seems energetic at some point in the day. She also cleans and scratches herself. She has been making a squeaking noises sometimes when she falls asleep and has been fluffing up even when it is warm in my room. I will be taking her to the vet, but wanted some insight first of what these details show you? thanks.

+Marie Gemini Thank you for asking me to help you and your Pet! Please privately message me at Skype DoctorRossPerry or email drrossperry1@gmail.com and I will explain what is involved in us working together, albeit legally internationally and locally, in my capacity as a vet I am not allowed to give specific advice and help without working through a vet who has already recently physically examined your pet. So if this can’t be done, I need to take off my veterinary hat and work as a private citizen with various other skills. Blessing and thanks again, Dr. Ross Perry :)

The live plant leaves flower buds and seed heads are best otherwise only 1 drop of tincture via pharmacist or vet orally once a day for liver support, Dandelion and chickweed and many other herbs support liver function, usually as a very little quantity of a lot of diversity home grown organically in lawns and gardens as i do. See more youtube DoctorRossPerry videos. on this. Blackbrds are susceptible to iron storage disease so avoid giving her iron rich foods eg. red meats. Thanks Ross Perry

interesting video indeed, i was looking for some ideas on poop problems to help with a wild hen blackbird rescued from a birdy fight. ive had her for 5 - 6 weeks now and she is seriously going light with really bad smelly poop. very dirty vent and poor plumage. one leg looks paralised :( my vet said they couldnt find anything wrong with her. what would cause her poop to smell so bad? she wont eat worms or snails either not sure why. she seems to struggle to poop. please any advice?

Did or does your cockatiel have one or both wings clipped? Injuries such as you describe are very commonly contributed to by wing clipping in my opinion and I advise to left birds fly in a safe environment. Supporting the body without interfering with breathing I would probably pluck the snapped tail feather in the direction it was growing. for more detailed help see goldcoastbirdvet dotcom. Wish i lived close by x3 i've got two little budgie buddies..had a third but sadly the little guy couldn't hold on. I had brought my Green budgie named Cher to the vet twice and they couldn't really find anything except that he was a bit underweight so i started feeding all of them multivitamins that you add just a drop to their water daily as soon as i replace the old water and clean out anything in the bin, put them by a window with good sunlight and shade options, even egg food with vitamins, and bits of celery, orange, lettuce, etc...i tried so hard and Cher had a third appointment but he was just a few days short of it when he passed away in the night...i cried so much for a good long time since I tried I even brought Cher his own cage in case he was getting picked on by Sunny and Lara :c. I always wonder if i had gone somewhere else would he still be here or was it just that I wasn't a good owner. Sunny and Lara are happy and all though Lara kinda got at Sunny one day..plucked a few feathers from his head so he had a bald spot for a while but he still dances and chirps to her.

I aspire to be both all the time, albeit that is not always easy, as any vet could tell you! If you need me to spend 15 minutes of my time investigating what is likely to be the cause(s) etc. please read the following Ross Perry and Getting Remote Help The following explains in part how with agreement with owner/custodian I might be able to help her/him help your bird(s).: Remote bird health advice and help* Veterinary Law internationally and locally makes it illegal for vets to give advice without having physically examined the animal recently and /or without being asked for another opinion by a vet who has done so. It is possible to remotely tune into your pet's quantum energy field and evaluate answers on an exponential scale from 0 to positive 180 and 0 to negative 180 re status, general vitality of various organs and issues, wisdom, vitality etc. This work costs $65/15 minutes payable to drrossperry1@gmail.com via paypal or direct transfer to Perrecca P/L NAB Bank BSB 082330 account number 516897373. i released her yesterday and tried to folm her release but for some reason the video did not save :( very disapointed as i wanted to show family her release. within 5 seconds of letting her go she flew to the ground (must have been cage bound) a male blackbird came right down to her to investigate :) i walked off and let nature take its course. what a great feeling. i hope she will fly, her feathers were a bit tatty as she hasnt bathed for 8 weeks. thanks again

Hi Dr. Ross. I have 3 parakeets and 1 cockatiel....all I have adopted. I also have 2 buff orpington chickens. About 2 weeks ago I discovered my chickens had mites. I treated them immediately and finally have the problem under control. Now that I've been so freaked out by mites, I've been worried that my birds would have them. I checked all of them over the way you have demonstrated in your videos. I honestly can't find anything out of the ordinary with them. Perhaps they are preening more than normal....but it could be just me being obsessed about it....not sure! What should I do?
