Buck's Island I've got a 30yr old Ranger and I'm looking to upgrade soon, aluminum is an option I'm leaning towards. I briefly looked at these while at the Classic. When I'm ready, I think y'all will be one of the finalists, as far as dealers I'll be using. In my experience where you buy is as important, if not more important, than what you buy. I like the way y'all think and present yourselves.
Only thing I've seen that is not to secure is the folding mechanism of the front and back seats that comes from manufacture maybe it a good idea to look into it and see about changing the style or upgrade the hinge part of the seat
Does the port side rod locker organizer come out? I don't see a bunch of place for tackle/gear in the front of the boat. A cooler a bit of storage on the starboard and two rod lockers....
Only difference is Avid uses .125 gauge aluminum throughout entire boat, but Vexus only uses .125 gauge aluminum on their transom and .100 on the rest of the boat.
Between the virus and continued rain, we haven't been able to shoot a on water video, but we're trying to figure that out as fast as we can! Thanks for the comment!
I live in sc near lake moultrie which can get very rough very quickly,,how does this react to rough water conditions,,also where can i buy one of these,,,very dealers have them in stock
Short answer is yes, the 20XB handles rough water well. See the answer on the 21FS video about checking out the Avid Owner's Group of Facebook for more owner feedback.
Can you please tell me if a aluminum boat can be repaired like a fiberglass boat in the event of hull damage ? I’ve seen amazing repairs on fiberglass boats. My concern is in the event of hull damage, can it be repaired by most boat shops or will insurance declare it totaled? Thank you =):}
Aluminum is easy to repair...just have to find a welder or a shop that can weld aluminum...complete patches or simple stress crack repair...it is fairly simple with the correct tools
Keep in mind this video is a couple of years old now. Prices have all gone up. For the latest, contact your dealer. If you don't have one, we'd love to have you reach out and talk to our Sales Team.
Wish this boat was still priced like they say in the video 2 years ago. Got quoted 65K+ for a 20xb. Was really interested in one until i got the final price. Maybe ill find a used one.
@@sputnee i got a quote from Boat WRX in Missouri that had one in stock. 20xb , 200 ( which they claim is a upgrade and the 175 is stock) , fortrex, humminbird 9s and they claimed 80k but then a dealer 20k " discount" brought it to like 64k. ridiculous pricing. they where trying to charge 3800 for a fortrex. they dont even cost that much brand new anywhere. ridiculous. i thought it would be 40-50k with a 200 , 9 inch graphs and at least an ultrex and maybe poles, like this video had said and i was super excited to try a new brand. . sadly looks like avid has slowly outpriced the average fisherman that this brand looked like it was catering to. Ive since switched back to looking at Vexus 1980/2080 boats. I liked the avid 19xb too til i found that wasnt even 19ft long. no thanks.
We try to avoid putting exact pricing on RU-vid just to avoid confusion down the road, especially since this video is a couple of years old and prices have gone up considerably. Best thing to do in today's market is to talk with a good Sales staff and get an exact number. Of course, we'd love to help you out if you're near us in Alabama.
If I choose to get an avid boat do I have to get a Yamaha motor on it or can yall replace it and put a mercury pro xs on it because me and my dad was think about getting a new boat and we have been running mercurys all our lives and that was the only down side 2 the avid is that it came with a Yamaha instead
We can get you a detailed quote for exactly what you're looking for, just call or text 256-442-2588. For rough numbers, the 19XB is in the low to mid $30k's depending on motor and accessories and the 20XB is going to be in the mid to upper $40k's.
Justin in the video is about 6'5" and he has found the 20XB comfortable to drive. One of these days we'll get the video edited and posted showing him driving it.
Nice rig,,,any other color options,,any room for a 250 in the future,, who makes the trailer for this boat,,need price for fully dressed out tournament ready boat with dual 12" graphs,, with lithum batteries .
They do have some other color options. They are working on a 21' with a 250hp. Text or call 256-442-2588 and someone from Sales can get you a detailed quote with everything you want!
The 2021 20XBs we have in right now retail at $45,000. That's with an Ultrex but no graphs. You might get close to $40K if you dropped down to a 150hp SHO. Here is what we have in stock from Avid: www.bucksisland.com/search/inventory/brand/Avid
@@bakervinci163 we can just pull the Ultrex off and adjust the price. You won't see 75mph out of the Avid 20XB most likely. It's also 20'1" if you're limited in length. The Falcon F195 would be a 19.5' boat that will run 75mph in about the same price range. But it's fiberglass. If you really want specifics, email michael@bucksisland.com and we'll get you paired up with someone from Sales to get you exact numbers.
This is another option on the market to allow guys to get something more specific for how they like to fish. Some guys just prefer aluminum hulls (we could make a whole video on pros vs cons... maybe we should). Probably the main selling point for this boat will be that it is a true 20' boat with a 200hp motor with a pad that will run 65mph and can be purchased in the $40-50K range depending on accessories.
Thanks for the comment. They just rolled out the new bass boats and then had to shut down for the virus, so maybe we can cut them a little slack. They will get there on the internet, but right now they are really relying on dealers like us to provide info for you guys... so what would you like to know?
@@BucksIsland....... I was looking for something like on all the other bass boat sites, custom build one with all the upgrades I want and get a final price idea. Without having to go through a dealership first. Our local dealer Texas marine has 1 but it's bare, no talons or depth finders and no price listed, just a monthly payment lol
@@bigtimfish01 understand. We can tell you these boats should be in the mid-$40k's starting out. If you're decking it out with Talons and other big electronics, you'll probably get into the lower to mid-$50k's. Have to make the sales pitch here - have our Sales team work up a detailed quote with exactly what you want on it.
@@BucksIsland no, I'm in southeast Texas. We have a local dealer here in Beaumont. But I will give credit to you because you have responded faster through RU-vid than my local dealer has through email lol. I'm just trying to get price ideas anyway. I can get a fully rigged exactly how I want nitro z20 pro package for $56k, just wondering how this compares in price. The nitro is less than the vexus, so I'm checking prices on these as well.
Nice tin rig. The console is ugly as sin, but its still a nice tin rig and Im hearing Avid is building some great quality rigs. They do need to stop riding Vexus nuts and set themselves apart.
Guess technically everyone copied Skeeter since they built the first bass boat... LOL. Vexus pushed aluminum boat building forward and we're excited to see where others can take it! Competition is always good!
@@BucksIsland hopefully they dont try run up the prices on alum boats. Where they are same price or hair cheaper than fiberglass. You can get a blazer 625 or skeeter 225/250 for 65k. Dont make since buy vexus 2080 with 12" graphs and blades for 55k
8.5' rods in the center and 7' on port side. We're guessing folks will pile the rods in the center with rod sleeves, but that's up to you on how you like to organize. Some good storage space in this boat!
Roger Collins 😂 go to Vexus website build you a fully loaded avx2080 the quote you $63k-67k Same price as some fiberglass boats with 225-250hp. Now that is unreal price.
TopHooker _Fishing they might look better but you not getting avx2080 with same as avid xb20 for 40k. Fully loaded Vexus with 2 power poles blades, hydraulic jack plate, two 10” graphs, remote drain plug, 80lb ultrex or ghost, and what not going hit you for 63-67k
@@kwd1253 I priced out an avx2080 user 50k and the technology set into the livewell and fish care is better imo. As a tournament anglers mindset fish care to me is a big deal
TopHooker _Fishing you priced out a basic avx 2080. no power poles they charge 2,500 per power pole blade. hydraulic jack plate “1500”, ghost 2.5k or force 2k or ultrex 80 2k., 12” graph on console it’s 3-4K pending which one you choose. Plus 10” bow 2-3k add another 1.8k for live scope. Please send me to where they quoted you 50k for all the bells and whistles. On live well technology you’re not getting the vx system in avx unless you pay extra. Cayman has the best live well system on the market right now.
Why do bass boats still come with carpet? Hydroturf or seadeck should be the industry standard. Carpet sucks. How thick are the hulls on these boats? Are the seams welded or riveted? Do you use extruded aluminum for your bracing, or is it stamped aluminum? Is there foam flotation that hides the supporting structure and rivets, or does the foam hold the boat together?
65mph lol hell flat bottoms can go that fast when I purchase new boat an upgrade I wnat my new bass boat to be in the 80mph range or preferably 90mph+ would be great
Why even sell a boat if you can't get what motor you want yamaha over rated and over priced suzuki has a 6 year warranty and cheaper with damn fine warranty service take care of their customers no one in their right mind will buy a boat of any manufacturer that they can't have an option of engines completely stupid business 101
