Avid Products Drop and Roll Efficiency 

We are talking about the loosenes and the efficiency in the drive system. We know with Polaris spec of 10 pounds pulling on the track it allows 1''. With a 3.25'' track and 40 mph track speed centrifugal force is pulling on this track. The amount of centrifugal force is around 30 pounds. A 3.25'' track only has 3/8'' of clearance in the front cooler area on a Polaris Matryx. With centrifugal force acting on this track we know there has to be contact on the front cooler, bending your paddles, creating friction (heat), robbing energy (horsepower). The only way to run a 3.25'' track and have proper clearance with efficient big drivers is to install a Avid Drop and Roll.
