Came here for the knowledge you always bring to composing, specifically loved what you had to say from here 1:00:20 up until 1:05:17 Of course, there was more but that really spoke to me.
Before watching the rest of the video i must say ... WOOOOOOOW BROOOOO what a track that was. You are a genius man i got goosebumps when you finished of the track with that piano run !
Cool look at these muted strings... however I want to know what that pan flute sound is on the beat of bar 11. You don't mention it as far as I can tell. I need a sound just like that for a project I am on.
Only 20s in, but I'm pretty sure OT aren't the first to record con sordino strings... I'm pretty sure VSL did it in the past, and I'm almost certain Spitfire also had Con Sordino articulations recorded in some of their libraries... I wouldn't bet my life on that because memory isn't my strongest suits, but I'm very convinced they did. Now having said that, I'm glad OT did it, it's a very nice addition to their Berlin Series.
Pretty sure he meant one of the first dedicated con sordino libraries with as many as possible articulations played with a mute. Spitfire has con sordino articulations, but it's just a long patch, maybe couple of shorts, tremolo and that's it.
@@normal.username Still, there have been dedicated Con Sordino libraries before with full articulations. E.g. the aforementioned Century Sordino Strings from 8dio, Chamber Strings Sordino from VSL, etc.
Hey Daniel I'm having trouble with software issues, hopefully I hope you could help me. Is there an email I can reach you? Thank you for your time 🙏 Sincerely Yoav
