so, the dock is useless because we can use the handheld.

I was looking a product which I could give to my daughter who is ubc student of science, she goes to Library, has to study a lot, and selected item she want to bring home and read them with patience and time. so this device will help us provided it works well. Could you, or any one tell how it works? it's really worth buying and giving gift to my daughter. Can we we buy single device, only scanner and then she can load, or transfer it in her computer? I don't want to by the printer with it. what you suggest please let me know thanks for reading my lines and thinking and writing for me.
