all cities are the same when it comes to traffic... all you taught were the manners in city driving where the traffic is always a chaos. the only key point you mentioned to avoid accidents was, keeping the safe distance also while soft gentle braking. the problem is, the moment people see a gap wide enough to be filled by a car between you and the front guy, they will quickly shift from their lane into your lane, jumping right in front of you, thus creating even more chaos. Dominance is the primary force which should be maintained instead of keeping that increasing safe distance in front of you.
Rickshaws walas are a big headache, they don't follow any traffic rule, they are road Roadies , Govt also fear them due to their unions and politics, they know they are immune to any laws, only commons people suffers 😢
