The noise issue really depends what area of CH you live in. I live on the northern end... not far off B'Way but the opposite side from Pike/Pine corridor. It's super quiet at night... I live in a building from the 30s but the windows are about 5 years old... that makes all the difference. Other than the constant ack-ack-ack of Amazon delivery vehicles and trash trucks during, it's pretty chill. I work from home (have for 25 years) and it's pretty conducive to that... even with my windows open. Several blocks away and you're in Millionaire's Row and it's even quieter! When I moved here in 2017 I got rid of my car because the transit options here are really good and of course downtown is an easy walk (or bus, or light rail, or Uber). I love living in our quirky little "gayborhood!"

Totally makes sense. I moved up from a fairly rural part of Washington, just outside Gig Harbor, and now live just north of Ballard, and still think it's noisy here 🤣😂🤣. So it definitely depends on what your noise tolerance is as well.

As much as things change, they stay the same! (PS: My best friends growing up were Salas and Cruz, families! Great people. You're probably not related, but saw the last name and had to say something in case! That's where here learned all about finadene, kelaguen, and flour Titiyas! Hope I'm not assuming too much I know it's a fairly common Chamorro name.) All the best, and thank you for watching and leaving a comment 🤙

I moved to "the hill", in 1984, bought a house in Rainier Valley in 1998, lost the house in 2008 to illegal foreclosure and being a "Capitol Hillbilly", I'm back on "the Hill".
