@@ponceacademy4141 that's the big problem for newer player they can't guard that much of combo also they can't afford the awakening and the high sig ability on their story level
@@ponceacademy4141 I don't know if you know what new player mean but there no new player will spend money on game he doesn't even know how to play correctly
My first 4 Star I ranked up was Aegon, saw him high on tier lists and fought for months to awaken and Sig 99 him, now as a thronebreaker I realise why getting through content was so hard, I wish I knew this back then.
I have him as a R5 4 star and I'm glad I did it. I use him for practicing my dex skills. I do end up getting very anxious when I get up to 40 or 50 in one fight. He's so much fun at the end of a quest though.
Made this similar mistake few months ago on my f2p account, opened up the 5* nexus and it was between stark spidey or quake, went with quake cause a lot of people said that she's really good plus benefits du dudu dudu.., then i threw all the resources i had into her and ended up didn't use her for much at all.. it's like post nut clarity, i realized that i suck at using her, and as i went through events and story quests i realized how much stark spidey would've been so helpful. it's mostly my fault too lol, had a 4* stark spidey on my main acc and he helped me through so much content, and never had quake, i should've known better. Really appreciate BG for making this vid!
I would say to also avoid becoming dependent of a champion like aegon. You should try to play different champs because it will help later on. A lot of youtubers make great videos on champion spotlights.
this is soo true hes awesome but becoming dependant is dangerous . i used him pretty much exclusively through act 6 from start to finish only time i didnt use him was when it was almost impossible . deffinately need to use a variety of champs
@@antoniovelasco2637 yeah. It’s actually hard to “depend” on Aegon because of the long ramp up. If anyone is dependent on him for everyday gameplay then they’re a better than average player imo, simply because there are tons of champs that would be a more effective option for 90% of the content
Aegon is the champ that made me a much better player. Got me good at intercepting, manipulating AI, not getting hit, etc. I think new players can benefit a lot from using him early on if they have the means to sig him up. Also, 100-150 combo is all you NEED for him to be great for almost all content, not 300. Plus it’s not even hard to keep combo if you run a team with NF, Quake, and Prox. 3 evades + combo shield. That’s 4 chances to not lose your combo. And comparing speed, he’s solo’d some paths faster or at the same speed by himself than a team of 5 separate counters in act 6 and 7
100% agree. Back in the day it was starlord which made players better from learning how to maintain a combo, aegon is an upgrade and learning to maintain a combo with him help players learn some of the basic fundamentals lol.
I’ve always told people who ask me about Aegon, “if you can hold a 300+ combo and get him high sig then go for it. If not, then probably not right for you.”
The trap happened to me. about 8 months ago aegon was my first rank 5 4 star. He carried me through almost all content, and I will be thronebreaker by the end of the month. However, I dont regret ranking him because it made me a much more skilled player, which is what allowed me to clear so much content with him.
BG, if you could, please try to read the entire comment. I strongly disagree with your opinion. Aegon, even as a 4 star, can help many people through Act 5. By the time you are in Act 5, you are decently skilled at the game and can hold a combo of, at least, 50-60. Aegon is very good for many paths in Act 5. Example: Aegon can be ramped up on every path in 5.2.6. Additionally, he is very good for 5.3. Due to the attack penalty, you can get a great ramp-up in the first fight. He is great for all the bosses in 5.3 except Hyperion. In 5.4, Aegon is awesome all the bosses except Mephisto. Aegon is also very good for V4. Next, Aegon is a very good champion by the time you get 100 hits on your combo meter. The following is Aegon's utility after reaching 100 hits: 1) Has almost guaranteed crits 2) Great damage 3) Shrugs of very debuff in the game whenever he hits the opponent. This is one of Aegon's most insane abilities and most frequently useful. It allows Aegon to take fights on nodes like Bio-Hazard and Poison. He can also be used against characters such as Morningstar and Abomination. Lastly, it's not that hard to awaken a 4 star and him/her up in today's meta. My friend, who started playing 2 months ago, already has a 4 star Sig 99 Archangel. These are all the reasons I believe that Aegon is very beneficial to a new player. He can do a lot of annoying fights in Act 5, he has great damage and utility, and 4-star awakening gem and sig stones are thrown at us all the time in today's meta.
Ma man....... Hell yeah...... U tell him But seriously I love Ægon and I've been trying to convince my friend on how useful he is for so long .....and now he's got another reason to say otherwise
@Darquark You may hate using him, but you can't deny his ability to clear content. He can be used in pretty much every piece of content. Even as a 4 star, he can be very helpful to newer players as long they don't mind the ramp-up
@@SerJaimeLannister9710 the reason is, there are many better champs you can level up that can help you clear a lot more content. Sure he is a good champ, but he is made for LONG content. Other than that, he has little benefit. There are also even better champs for act 4 with require ramp up such as venom the duck who is INSANELY better, doesn't require a high combo and is a lot more forgiving with regen.
@@akiravrz8639 How is VTD better than Aegon? VTD requires three fights to be ramped up. Aegon gets ramped in one. He can solo entire paths very efficiently and effectively. Secondly, Aegon has every immunity in the game after getting 100 combo as long as the opponent doesn't have crit resistance. All of them. VTD isn't good for anything past Act 5.
Aegon was one of my first 5*. I ranked him up unawakened because I lacked experience in the game and I didn't have better options on that time (only Magik). But when I woke up him, sig200 him and r5 him... I used him basically on Labyrinth and some few challenges and story mode runs.
I have a unique experience with aegon. I got him as a 4* Aegon early on in the new account I started August 2020, but as someone who'd played with a 4* star lord as my best champ in 2016-2017, he was amazing for me. That being said, fully agree BG. If you're a newer player don't use aegon
well omega compared to aegon is different, with aegon you do need the necessary skill required to play, both need awakening and high sig and both benefit from suicides, but omega doesn’t rely on a combo meter for his usefulness, so overall for a newer player who can’t dupe or sig up omega he is pretty mediocre, but if you can he can be used basically everywhere
I mean. I do love using him for Map6, as long as I’m the first one in and have time to move right away. Other times I join early with the intention of being able to play. But get busy at work, come back and we’re already in section 2, and I have like 1 or 2 fights on my path before hitting section 3 where I fight wasp. Those times Aegon is completely useless and I finish AQ with him at full health and 0 on his combo meter. Lol
Lmao bruh I just pulled a 6* and been hunting the five* who I have an ag for. But of course I have a low chance of awakening and high sigging the 6*. I still need to do abyss
@@jacobhedden7102 oh man, obviously awaken 6* if you have the chance to do it before pulling a 5*. I would have awakened him if my 5* wasn’t already maxed out.
It never occurred to me to use AEgon in incursions, thinking about it now I can see why that would be a good idea. I have both a 4 and 5 star AEgon, but the 5 star is kind of useless at the moment cuz he's not awakened.
3:40 I agree with most of your points here, but Ægon is mostly viable 150 hits onwards, something easily attainable in casual questing, albeit at high enough sig which is still difficult for newer players. That aside tho, he is rather useful in smaller quests, and I found that he is a solid option for the red goblin hive with white magneto pre-fights.
I wouldn't call myself new (over 3 years), but when aegon came out I got him early (within a couple months) and he helped with ROL, LOL, Abyss - and completing act 6. Aegon is a boss! Plus he got combo saver synergies. Any new player should use Proxima/Star-Lord with him.
I've Been playing 3 years as well but I always stick to monthly quests I'm basically thronebreaker and am unsure of aegon I don't plan on 100% act 6 so I'm not sure he's worth using on cavelier eq every month
Aegons a monster, and definitely not just for abyss or LoL. One fight to ramp up even at 100-150 combo he's better then 90% of the skill class. Telling people he's only meant for that long content, thats more misleading then anything. Act 5, act 6, act 7, he tears thru content
Act 5 and beyond is consider high end or long content man. LOL. Its fine if you like Aegon, but for daily, EQ and low-mid content hes not the best. Way too dependant on combo meter and with less than 10 fights on quests hes not better than other heavy hitters who didnt rely on combo.
@@Hyogasaint it’s funny how different Aegon is for beginners compared to veterans. I remember when I got my 4 star Aegon out of his debut crystal I max maxed him out right away. Then he sat there for a while, I would sweat hard playing and trying to keep a combo going over 50. Or get high upto 100 in that first fight just to get hit, lose it and end the fight with a 3 hit combo. Lol Now it’s nbd, and I look at my friend whose in his first year of playing and he’s wanting an Aegon, I’m just like. Nah man, your not there yet. Just keep using doom and nick fury. Aegons a beast and i even love him at 150 combo banked. But it takes years to be as comfortable as you need to be to effectively use the champ
@@grizzleg8729 Couldnt say it better myself. If you are a casual player and you dont plan on investing a lot of time in the game its better to stay out of using this kind of champions. It becomes a tedious chore to master the high skill you need to use them. Some people keeps forgetting this is a game and you should have fun playing it. Its not all about beign the best and a sweat😅
He’s definitely a beast and I agree with you he can be ramped up in 1 fight. Well honestly 2 at least. After the first fight your only carrying over 50-70 hits. But I agree he’s becomes a beast super quick, I love Aegon at 150 when he gets true strike. Only takes 2 fights for it. Honestly anything over 150 in my book is just a bonus. While Aegon at 300 is simply unstoppable for pretty much the rest of the quest. That being said it seems like a no brainer for you and I. But players in their first couple of years just don’t have the skill required. It’s hard for players to get a 100 or 150 streak on the first fight. Yeah they may get 150 hits in but it’s not going to be a combo. And when that happens Aegon is not much help. Even my buddy whose in his first year of the game and is already completed act 5 and trying out act 6. It’s impressive to see how fast players can progress now, but they don’t have the skills that we had at that point in the game. 6 star Dr doom and 6* Claire will get you through alot of content without necessarily being good at it. My buddy manages with those champs of course. But once he takes Aegon for a spin he realizes just how much he has to learn before being able to play him effectively
If your not running suicides, which most earlier players wouldn't be, and able to spam the sp1 you can def ramp up plenty high enough in your first fight
I might be in the minority but I've never been a fan of Aegon myself. I have a max sig 5* and an awakened 6* Aegon and I hardly use either one. I dont like that you have to start out without being able to crit. I feel that puts you at a real disadvantage if the first few opponents of a quest aren't easy straightforward fights. Numerous things like evade, auto-block, unblockable Sps, crit resistance all make using Aegon a pain in the ass. Nothing is more frustrating than getting the opponent down to 5% health and missing a block with 100+ hits and having to end the fight with less health and a persistent combo of 5. Now the next fight is a long one as well. Aegon is amazing if you can get him to the end of the path without taking a ton of damage along the way which isnt always easy.
I disagree with this strongly. Ægon is good for all sorts of stuff. Even when he ramps up to like 150 hits, which is not hard at all, he still has near guaranteed crits, massive bleeds, and true accuracy. And then sometimes a monthly event comes by that restricts you to 3* and 4* champs for hard content and for that stuff, ægon is still THE best.
You are actually right. I recently got 5-star Aegon, but I don’t use him at all. Neither 5 star no 3 star. I can’t hold combo more than 30 hits. It’s really hard to do, specially on high level difficulty. I like my 4-star Nick Fury more. He helped me to earn title “Uncollected ” and pass a lot piece of content in game. And only “Chevalier” I took without him because demands didn't allow to use him
THANK YOU!!! I have been said this for YEARS! Aegon is amazing for endgame content, but for average content, wich most of us play, its not worth the rank up. Same as Captain Marvel Movie and other champions that need fights to ramp up or need a high combo to get good. There are a lot of heavy hitters champions that are way better for daily content. Like Medusa, Cap IW, BWCB, BWDO and more. If someone has the experience to do some lists of champions thats you BG. It would be great if you find the time to do some lists for different level of players and wich champions are "the best" for each level. Anyways, very useful video. Keep it up!
Parry gets 2 charges, need 25 to ramp up... Literally one of the easiest champs to ramp up to full potential and if duped she can pretty much solo fights in one special during binary... But what do I know lol
@@locowoko72985 sure...parry would be easy...if it actually works! Lmfao...giving advice about how to ramp up a champion that requires the game to work as it should when the game is not working...yeah...right🤣🤣🤣
@@Hyogasaint 1. Parry actually does work for some of us like I'm having no issues parrying rn 2. Watch AGFit to see aegon demolishing practically all of act 7
Either end game content or endgame players. BG’ has the skills to use any star Aegon anywhere. But he’s also been playing long enough to have the skill it takes. These days it’s highly unlikely for a new player to be able to maintain the combos in act 3. We laugh but all it takes is one hit. And I know I wasn’t playing perfectly in any of those first few acts.
When I first started playing Hulkbuster was my first champ and I used to use a M-L-L-L-H combo. I was definitely not worried about keeping a combo haha
Aegon is a beast for new players as long as they learn the basics of how to keep a combo. He chews thru early content like act 5 and monthly events. And can progress an account very quickly, him and Gilly 2099 are amazing for that. He punches way above his star level. A 4 star Aegon can complete uncollected quite effeciently. Saying he's only meant for abyss and labyrinth isn't accurate at all. Also Aegon is actually great for a new player being he requires you to get better at not being hit. Which is the most important thing to learn.
I was an old player way back when there's no Battlegrounds and 7 stars. Every tier list marked Aegon as a S tier, I just don't get it until now I've seen this video just because I recently need an app for time killing a my first 10 6-star attempt turned out very nice. And there's an Aegon in it. Yup, I was in that trap.
I really disagree, even five star awakening gems are given out like hot cakes, a four star awakening gem would be easy to get. And Aegon for regular style content only needs 100-150 combo, the fury's are only realy needed to get through those massive healthpools. And you'll need to learn to not get all the time anyway. A 4* Ægon would put In some serious work throughout act 4 and five in my opinion.
sure he can help people a lot on certain contents, but you know who helped me become uncollected? archangel and corvus. dudes seriously are game changers for me, and super easy to pick up too. what i'm saying is there are better champs out there that can help beginners *immediately* more than aegon for being the only high ranking champ in their roster.
So I've never agreed on your opinion of Aegon. I've been playing this game for almost 5 years (on and off), and I think Aegon is very useful. I'm in retirement alliance mode now, but even before that Aegon is useful in story quests, AQ, pretty much any content. As a suicide player, he's suicide friendly, oh and he's great for incursions too. I just 100% disagree with your opinion of Aegon being an end game champ only. You've been lucky enough, and spent a good amount of time/effort, creating a really good roster. But for those that don't have multiple options, Aegon is great, even early as a 4*. He's simple to use. I understand mostly why you don't like him, it's because you're not the greatest at keeping a combo unless you're really focusing. Which isn't a knock on you, just the truth. I feel like you're sending the wrong message to new players with this video. YOU may not like Aegon for anything outside of end game content, but it doesn't mean he's not a good champ
YES. Been saying this a minute. But it’s also why I personally don’t want a 6* Namor, Angela, Beardo, Mojo, and soooo many others that rely on high sig level. Purely because they won’t be useful for a very long time.
Angela and CAIW are still very solid without their dupe tho. Their damage is great unduped and have a certain level on utility in their base kit. My 6* unduped Angela does wonders for me in lots of content
I got my 5* Awakened, R5, and Sign 200 before I realized I wasn't anywhere near ready enough to tackle LoL. He's sitting unused and waiting for the day haha
I’m uncollected saw this videos saying that I shouldn’t rank up aegon and it made me think to rank up my 3 star aegon just for fun and did a run of realm of legends
Aegon was my first 4 star awakened him super quick, it was easy to get used to him by the time you learn which opponents are easy to evade and build on. I have him as a 5* awakened sig 200 to and he is beast for cavalier quests
Well it depends on your progress and what you want to do in the game. My first LOL run, I did it with a 4 star aegon only, and a team built around his sinergies. But yeah, even for that, you will need to know how to keep a fat combo meter. I think 4 star aegon could be of high utility, even for becoming uncollected.
I did exactly this when I was new. Pulled a 5 star Aegon and (I think) he was my first R5, and dumped all my sigs in him. But he was pretty useless for me because I wasn’t doing any content where I could even ramp him up! Eventually he was useful, so it wasn’t a complete waste, but I definitely should have focused on someone else early on.
Hmm I already have 4* aegon max and I can hold his combo meter high enough but this is really informative and helpful that if I was a beginner again I would take the advice Bc Ik I’ll get frustrated if aegon can be above 20 hits. Keep up the good work!
Mannnn!!!!! Literally took my 5* Aegon to Rank 4 moments ago just cause I didnt knew better!!! Now way to go back now but I think he'll be useful when I'm ready for abyss which ain't anytime soon!!! Still thanks for this information. He won't move to R5 anytime soon now!!!
The real trap is constantly answering rank up questions. The info is out there. Look it up, or make mistakes and learn from them. I sold champions in the beginning, I bought PHCs. I’m OK. They will be OK.
Holding combo is something new players need to learn. And Aegon is some you can use alot more then ju for Abyss and Lab. He was mine go to guy in act6 (80%) of it. Act7 use went down to 30-40% Cant say about act 5 and below as he got in game to late for me to test hin there. So this is false in a lot of way, just as you dont use him to say others do rank until you test him by your self. 100+ combo is just enought for him. And combo goes up from regular use nothing special as you need from other top champs in game
I use my 6* rank 3 sig 200 for the big long fights, end game stuff and mostly AQ. But he's not my good to champ for 80% of stuff. Right now Hercules is my go to for all content.
Watching this video inspired me to rank up, awaken, and max sig my 4 star Aegon just to run through ROL and incursions. I do agree with most of what BG said, but I will not stand Aegon hate.
I am a endgame player. Everything 100% in game with a 6* R3 sig 100 Aegon. Honestly rarely use him since i 100% the abyss. Dont get me wrong hes a beast but like BG said he's not a champ worth bringing to most content due to his ramp up.
Another downside to Aegon is he is practically useless unawakened and even when duped he needs a max sig which isn't a big deal for a 5* but is for a 6*. At the rate it's taking me to get skill 6* sig stones I wont even consider taking 6* Aegon to R2 for a very long time
I pulled 6* Aegon as like my 3rd 6* and he has yet to be duped. Knew I'd never rank him up and use him any time soon or ever. Good vid BG there's soooo many other champs that are way more useful to use.
Aegon is my highest ranked champion and I only use him for farming health potions in ROL because I'm not good enough yet for abyss so I definitely could have used those rank up resources more wisely.
