Best to avoid anything Waves unless you want to keep paying for upgrade licences

I’ve been using the IK for very long. I’m teaching my students how to set it properly but most importantly to learn to listen and compare uncompressed and compressed sound. IK nailed sonically

I feel like a lot of people are sleeping on how good the T-Racks models of many vintage audio processors are. Their EQ-81 and VC-670 go on pretty much every sum and bus channel in my mixes, and their Pultec sim is amazing too. I was never really convinced by their channel strips though, but that has more to do with workflow preferences rather than actual sonic preferences.

Ik multimedia are more efficient and their FX are more noticeable and audible ...they are way better than the waves side to side ..take any plugin made by both labels the IK wins.

Black 76 for ears

Not obvious from the video, but with more aggressive music, waves at the fastest attack is muffled. And it is thin. Would be cool to add the Arturia and Sonic Academy takes one this comp. Both are newer and better.

Ok, Black 76! If it works better in 2 of 3, I wouldn't want to invest in another. I use a lot of IK plugs, and this one is one of my favorites. I even like it on the master bus. I have to hear the comparisons, though. Also, if you can hear a difference on a youtube video, how much better do you think it will sound in your DAW!?

My big gripe with IK plugins is that they all seem to add a default bump in volume, just by adding them.

I miss the uncompressed stems. Cant really hear what the compressors actually do.

Ik sounds so good

I have recently noticed this with a lot of the waves plugins. In comparison to other brands like UAD and SSL native, Waves sound noticeable more closed and dull. Less analog on the whole. Think it’s down to old or bad modelling.

Hate me, but I liked CLA 76 better, the snare snap just jumped out. And that's what I want from something that I put on drums.

I love the IK 1176 but it keeps crashing studio One for some of other reason.

I guess The release are different.. From the VU , the Black has a slower release

Its kinda funny that your making good videos yet you have yet to blow up. Hmm? I like these videos, well done and high quality. Not too mention perfect for the many people who are addicted to plugins. So.. Maybe you need some click bait, Hidden Handshakes and lots of 3's. I'm almost 100% positive Google's algorithm picks up on this and decides whether or not to show your videos. LOL.
