I still remember my excitement when I entered a LV boutique for the first time to buy a bag that I saved up for 😂 That was 7 years ago and I still have that handbag, and use it almost everyday ❤😊
Fools are the ones who spend $10,000 on a "real" bag. I have a fake Louis Vuitton doctor bag, purchased at *condupcom* . I walked into Neman Marcus with it. Several employees in the handbag section couldn't believe my bag was fake. They compared my bag to a "real" bag and they couldn't see any difference.
Super fake package PTSD is real. I thought I bought an authentic LV Weekend Tote GM on eBay, when I opened the box I immediately thought I had bought a fake: no hot stamping, the bottom did not match the picture, the "dust bag" was tatty and flimsy, but I The handbag I bought on *condupcom* looks very real: the hardware, the zipper, and especially the canvas. I sent it back and only got a partial refund, but glad my hands were clean of a 3A super fake. I have never bought LV since.
My eyes roll so far to the back of my head when someone complains about their shoes getting the crease from their foot flexing. I had a friend get mad about her Gucci loafers getting this crease and "it shouldn't happen because it's Gucci" this fairy tail mentality is so strange to me. It's a shoe! Not magic
@@Bakerygo well there you say the magic word... probably it is 'genuine leather' and not the best quality full grain leather... genuine leather or real leather or leather are words to point out it is the most basic quality leather which also creases in the most ugliest way.... perhaps that is what customers are complaining about... they expect the beautiful creasing from full grain leather but get the ugly creasing from genuine leather....
The reality is: if you're rich and famous, your *condupcom* bags are seen as a sign of success. If you are just an ordinary worker working a 9-to-5 job, your real bag is likely to be considered the fruit of your efforts.
Thank you for addressing the Fashion jewelry. I got so much hate when I did a video about how truly worthless luxury fashion jewelry is. I want people to make informed choices. Buy it coz you love it, but just understand if you are truly looking for a lasting piece with value, you wont get that shopping fashion jewelry
Exactly!!! When I travel, I bring Walmart Hoops and faux pearls. The only “good” jewelry that travels with me is my wedding ring and engagement ring. If someone can tell my hoops are inexpensive, they are standing way too close to me! I will say the hate you receive is from insecure and regretful individuals!
in my opinion, every girl should not spend less than $200 on replica, because there is high potential that would be bad replica. real leather, box, dustbag, that is only on *hotdups*
I as an employee, I bought one of the very expensive, 5k retail three piece men's suites from their men's collection. And I kid you not, after only wearing it about 4 times ever, the stitching started coming undone, and string fraying all over. after one trip to the dry cleaners, the dry cleaners straight up told me the fabric would not hold up for a second dry cleaning. And this was at a bougie dry cleaner where rich people get their stuff done. It was a waste of money. I was better off going to a normal men's suit store.
🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ was it from EOS? I notice they sell runway pieces, which are samples, not production. Two of my male coworkers got ripped off buying these things 🙁
@@dialmstyle Yes, still paid about 650, and, the fabric is like a kind of polyester blend. Which I assumed should be ok , after all it's LV. But no. I take extreme care of my stuff, and, yeah bummed I got something which ended having a shorter life span than something from... Express, or Zara lol.
I once owned an original LV neverfull that cost me about $1600, but then I saw that a friend of mine had an exact replica that looked better than mine! Now I only buy *hotdups* exact replicas and they are successful they are made from the same materials and hardware. love it
This is the most informative video about driving shoes that I have ever seen. All the other youtubers talk about how comfortable it is and when I try them on, they are terrible. Now, I know that it is only for driving. LOL. Great video. Thank you!!!!
THANK YOU for talking about the return policy. I recently bought a felicie on the website and when it showed up at my door it was BEAT TO H*LL. Someone clearly used and abused it before returning. It had a huge crease down the side, the corners were bulging from being over stuffed, and the glazing was chipping. I reached out to exchange and when the “new” bag showed up… it was the SAME DAMAGED BAG just in Christmas packaging. I was FUMING. I returned it and will NEVER buy online again. In store only from here on out!
Totally agree with you on all your points , especially luggage! I used to check my Keepalls and it just took one international trip when one was stolen that I stopped . Even doing carry on you can damage the bag in the over head by dragging it in and out . I did the Asian thing and left the plastic on my Horizon 55 😊
*Stands and gives Michelle a standing ovation *👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you! Everything you said was spot on! Overall I own two “new” LV bags-a Nevefull MM and a Petit Noé ( which I purchased in Paris) . I also have a cle ; a 6-Ring key holder and slim wallet. Everything else is vintage. In fact I am mow awaiting a vintage Randonne PM to go with my Randonee GM. The quality of the vintage canvas far surpasses the new and I have never spent more than $350 on a vintage bag. I refuse to buy new die to price increases. Grants, I do send a number of these bags to LV for vachetta replacement which is pricey but less than a new bag. Inasmuch as fashion jewelry-lV’s is the equivalent of a departure stote trinket. And the perfume is overpriced. I’m strictly a Guerlain and Fragonard scent person -spend less and smell gteat! You remain the voice of reason!
Merry Christmas Michelle, hope you have a lovely break. Look forward to seeing your interesting videos next year. 1000% agree - prices going up but quality consistently going down.
Thank you for this video. Everything I suspected about there quality is true. I subscribe a while back and I’m so happy I did. Love all your videos. ❤😊
I had LV handed down to me from my mother, and of course there was patina. When I bought my first LV bag, I wanted it to remain pristine so that it too would last generations. A RU-vidr had recommended wiping the vachette down with a baby wipe. Lol. INSTANT regret. The vachette was permanently discolored. I wish I had come across this video first; but silver lining, I’ve never made that mistake again. 😅
Good video. I might buy LV luggage if I had endless amounts of money. I've tried on numerous shoes from them and they were all uncomfortable. I love their leather. I have different types of it and they're beautiful 🥰
Yes Michelle i told my friends all the time don’t put your bags on the floor you’ll be broke plus also don’t carry them in the rain ☔️ or when it’s snowing take good care of your luxurious stuff🙏🏿🙌🏾🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍❤️❤️🥰😘😍🤗💐🇯🇲🇺🇸
I bought driving shoes from J Crew when I first started working in the 80s & I had a 59 mile commute. Driving only for real LOL! I really enjoyed this video. Especially re returns & warranties. Good grief. Happy New Year!
Hi Michelle have a merry Xmas 🎄 and happy holidays looking pretty here 🙋♀️💕🎁🎄😍 I think the new LV bags are down graded like they used to be I miss the original especially the real luggage trunks 🧳
Thanks for such a great video!! I'm so close to buy my first item and i´ve literally gone through every video of yours. It's so helpfull, keep up the good work! :)
@@dialmstyle not really hate it's just something I just really watch and recently I have been more conscious with my time spend on YT, I am trying to downsize and spend more time doing other things as well. but I really enjoy you as a person and love your channel and I will always support you through my subscription
#amzlv The canvas tote actually reminds me of the Hermes Garden Party too. Thanks for making this video to suggest more budget friendly alternatives. love it!
Such an informative video, Michelle! Love your expertise. Was wondering what you think about the non-fashion jewelry. Also, do you have any information on other Luxury brands’ quality? Thank you so much 😊
I do own some luxury items and I can tell that the quality of them is much better than the not luxury items I used to and I own now. I have 15 years LV wallet that looks perfect with minor color transfer at the back, so do my 10 years old coach wallet without any signs of wear (it looks like a much better buy thinking about it now). Some of the cheap ones I had got damaged after 1 year of use. I say this with the note that I took reasonable care of all my items. They are not indestructible but they can last a lifetime with reasonable care. Thank you Michelle :)
It makes me sad when I see people buying LV fashion jewelry because they're not aware how terrible quality the metal is. A butterfly can land on their bracelet and it will start chipping.
IKR and when they snub nondesigner costume jewelry or stainless steel inspired by pieces... 🤦♀️at least i am not wasting hundreds on a mystery metal. I’ve had a chain choker with the CD logo I paid $5 for a couple yrs ago just to see how a $5 inspired-by piece looks in person, and it still looks new. no chipping, no change in gold tone, no green neck, bc it is stainless steel. The authentic CD one is a “gold tone metal” not even gold plated or gold filled, and over $700. I think Dior is chic and all, but for $700 you can buy an actual solid 18K little necklace from Tiffany, or get a local jeweler piece that is more substantial with some little diamonds, know what i mean? designer costume is a rip off imho
My bracelets and earring still look brand new after 5 years🤷🏻♀️ I will never buy Pandora anymore, they can never restore that shiny silver and you have to wear it in a gun mental color. I love my LV jewelry. I know that I am paying for the name.
LV driving shoe... That's what rich people do. It's not a magical unicorn. That's classic Dial Dear! So endearing and so damn entertaining. What a hoot! You are adorable.
Holy cow the costume jewelry . As someone who has an interest in jewelry you could buy some great pieces buying from a local jeweler for those prices .
Great tips, Michelle! I love your content! One question: Re tying a bandeau/twilly around the handle, do we have to remove the twilly as soon as we get home? I’ve heard that leaving the twilly on for too long traps moisture and could potentially cause other issues on the leather. Is it true? Have a wonderful Christmas! 😘
Hi! Thank you for your insight! It is great that you were a client advisor with all the scoop! I'm looking at getting the Soft Duffle 65 for car road trips only. What are your thoughts on that particular piece. I have the Horizon 55 and love it but it is tiny to use for more than an over night in the NE winters and trying to put my Dopp Kit with anything else is a challenge. Thanks again!
That piece just came out when I was there…which means I have no idea what the wear is and if it ever came back…🤷🏻♀️ Because I am rough on my stuff, I always use hard shell luggage now.
Hi Michelle! I love your content! I am wondering if it worth purchasing LV jewelry? My husband bought me my wishlist Nanogram cuff and I wasn’t sure if it worth since I heard some positive and negative review about fashion jewelry.
People have an inflated view in their mind of "rules" and share it like it's law--- and creates a perception that, it's what it is SUPPOSED to be, when it fact it is not. 🤣🤣🤣.... Fabulous video and wake up call Dial!
What do you think about LV watch rolls...I bought one today thinking to splurge and I know it's not at all as high quality or practical as some of the other non luxury branded watch travel rolls out there, but I really just wanted one because I appreciate the brand cache. I bought the 3 watch roll in the monogram eclipse. I think I'm going to buy a multiple wallet next with the same color and pattern (monogram eclipse canvas)...it's starting to get addictive for me lol
Hi Michelle! You have amazing videos, thank you for sharing all your tips with us. I recently bought a pre-loved LV capucines BB and now I’m having second thoughts on the authenticity I e followed your videos and see that you have a lot of knowledge as you worked for LV Is there any website that you can recommend for an authentication? Or what would be your recommendation? Thank you so much for your time
Okay Michelle, im a 68 year old woman who loves handbags. I have several louis vuitton handbags and wallets, and a few Gucci bags. I had told myself i would no longer spend my money on luxury handbags but I have wanted for a very long time the Alma bb. I feel I'm too old for that particular bag. What do I do?
New subscriber here. And I am TORN. We are average people. Average means and I am not a luxury brand person. My partner gifted me with the Cluny BB. Jacquard strap rolled handle, and black microfiber lining. He spent thousands and I can't justify it. Since I have never had an LV and the duplicates look so real. He purchased on 09/11 and still hasn't returned it. What do I do? After watching many videos, I feel like everyone who DOES know the brand that the quality has gone way down. But I am way too afraid to purchase online and get ripped off. Help!
Im really curious with respect to LV myths. I purchased my pochette metis back in 2015 from Paris. Given the melting glazing and peeling, I stopped using it after less than 30 uses over the last 7 years, 3 yrs of which were COVID where the bag has sit in my closet. I havent had it assessed in any of this time but I am reading there has been an informal "recall". Would I be laughed out of the store if I requested a repair/quality exchange? I have a trip to Italy coming up and I am contemplating bringing it with me to ask an SA

I just found your channel and am now looking forward to binge watching! I will be visiting Paris in June, and have a few questions: first, I usually like to look around at different stores, mainly on my own, before I make a selection. Is there a way to do that without driving a sales associate crazy. Second I am all about the crossbody bags (I do not trust myself to not lose something otherwise). I bought a separate crossbody straps at another LV store and would like to make use of it. Can/should I bring the that strap with me (it’s still in mint condition, and I think I even have the receipt) or will the store have one for me to tryout with the bag? Also, I bought a lavender wallet years ago that got a few tiny ink stains from receipts. I’ve read a couple places that dabbing the spot with a little rubbing alcohol might fix it. Is this a good idea, or should I try something else? Thank you for your time!
Louis Vuitton now own Rimowa< since this takeover tmassive price increases and t he quality has plummeted and and they have branched out into non related luggage sidelines,, what's your opinion on this ,, i would be very interested as a long time buyer or both Rimowa and Vuitton
Gosh, the prices of these luxury brands are just too expensive. Not that it's really only worth $200, but certainly not worth what they charge. So I choose #dupbags#budgetfashionista
Hi Michelle, my daughters name ❤. I am a new subscriber and I have a question. What happens to returns? Are they resold as brand new?. Would love to know. Thank you for all the valuable info 😊
Wonderful video.... yes! jewelry from these designer brands (also from Chanel etc)... are not real precious metals! No real silver, no real gold and just crystal glass.... Okay, perhaps with a certain classic Chanel necklace it is perhaps worth to pay like money for it because it is iconic... but really.... most of the jewelry isn't worth it. There are much better brands with much better jewelry for normal prices... like 18K gold plated silver (or real 18k gold or real silver) from PD Paola (they use next to real diamonds also lab grown diamonds.... much cheaper than mined diamonds and even experts can't see the difference between the two because the diamonds are identical, only some special measuring machine could decide if it is lab grown or mined), Monica Vinader or APM Monaco..... So don't spend your money on jewelry from designer brands. And good to know: Diamonds aren't rare! These things are everywhere..... other gem stones are much rarer.... And also these Louis Vuitton bags.... I mean, they are boring by now no? Michelle is telling often that these bags don't make you look better.... and they don't.... plus you are paying so much more while the quality of like Aigner Munich (I am a fan of that brand because they have real good finishing and quality - Not the American Aigner: same origins but a different brand and lesser quality).... But also like Tory Burch (I love the logo, just gorgeous... I can't say anything about the quality because I never bought a bag by that brand).... But also look at more independent artisan bag makers .... who are using full grain leather.... that is the quality leather. 'Real leather' or 'leather' or 'genuine leather' is all the cheapest leather out there.... the least durable and the leather that ages the ugliest.... like with creases: full grain quality leather creases in a much more beautiful way than the ordinary leather. I am not sure if Louis Vuitton always uses top grain leather? Plus, all these big brands often use a plastic finish, to get like a standardised result ... probably also happens with Vuitton? And leather in the lining is almost always of a lesser leather quality or even synthetic... again not sure with Louis Vuitton.... ah and last but not least: don't spend thousands on simple quartz watches from these big brands (except for like the Cartier watches).... go for real Swiss made brands with a long history in watch making. Quartz isn't bad but watches from like Versace, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and what you have aren't worth the insane amounts of money. They are really fooling you, if you think these watches are quality watches. Of course buy it when you think it is pretty, but most people who know something about watches know it is just a bling and not a quality watch. Bling is okay.... but don't think you are buying quality with such a watch. You are just buying a standard quality watch, often with just crystal glass and not even extra hardened glass or Sapphire glass. But also Japanese watch brands with a real heritage behind them are worth your money. 'designer' watches are just for fun and decorating. Decorating is okay, and pretty shapes and colours can be nice ... but... they are not 'real' watches... they're fun watches, and yes wealth signifiers.... But often people who want to wear wealth signifiers aren't that wealthy. Many designer stuff can be pretty, or right on trend, then perhaps you think it is worth buying, but often you are paying insane amounts of money for simple metal, glass and basic quality leather with a plastic finish.... .
Thank you for the detailed insight! I try, but people will make up any story as an excuse to spend for status! Buy it only if you like it I say, but never ask me if I think it's worth it, the answer is always NO! As for Vuitton, the only top grain leather would be on the Cappucines. Everything else is highly plastic coated and finished to minimize the appearance of flaws. The epi leather has a unique coating that makes it more durable. People think that the canvas is leather, and they even must think Vuitton grows their cows with LV branding on it. I hear the craziest things. I do have a Vuitton watch, it is beautiful but not nearly worth the retail price tag.
Can I ask you about your opinion on the canvas speedy 25 bandoulière? I have a speedy 25 leather piece and just bought a damier ebene online a few days ago. I noticed that the gold hardware on the leather bag is absolutely impeccable whereas the canvas piece gold hardware is tarnished and it's still in the box :( Is it normal for the hardware to be a super dull yellow color?
I’ve received at least 5 scratched or dented items when shopping online. FIVE TIMES! Each time I had to fight for an exchange. Turned me away from the brand
@dialmstyle I do it everytime! Each time still a battle. It's mind blowing. Just 2 months ago they sent me a epi belt with dents on the leather and the scratches on the buckle. They approved the return over the phone. However, they returned the item to me when I shipped it back because it wasn't in a saleable condition (like you mentioned). Took me an entire month to fight it with proof it was delivered damaged, with proof that this was sent to LV prior to the initial return approval.
This is why I don't buy luxury shoes. Don't get me wrong, there are some beautiful styles, but I can't justify spending hundreds of dollars on a product that I'm going to pound on concrete over and over as I walk.
