@@tonii7259 I read about a guy stealing a leather briefcase out of an open car once back in the 1940s. He waited till there was no one around, grabbed it and ran to an alley in the next block. He was going to pawn it for drug money but when he opened it he found a couple of women's legs wrapped in newspaper. He got nauseous but still managed to get rid of the legs in the river. The pawn broker asked him Why does it smell funny? Is it mexican leather? He said he didn't know and asked if he want it or not. The broker gave him $3 bucks enough for some heroin and a room to stay in.
I am from Bulgaria, and in every city we have market like this, in Sofia its probably the biggest but damn everything there is 100% NATURAL why we should avoid it??
@@inthezoneeeechief He's in his young 20ies. What young man in this age range isn't above others? Seems a natural growing process for men in this world, from my own observations at least. Cultivating oneself is a process. I've seen his growth since this video was published.
I didn't understand the reason why we should avoid it? I see you just walking around without being bothered, everyone is friendly. What is your problem?
Kurt: eats a whole red chilli Also him: my mouth is on fire. I wasn't expecting that. The vendor is a dick. Duh...whatd you expect it's a goddamn chilli dude
You're pissed off with the guy for giving you something hot to eat... It was a pepper, what were you expecting? Completely unnecessary negative reaction from you towards him
I am from Bulgaria, and in every city we have market like this, in Sofia its probably the biggest but damn everything there is 100% NATURAL why we should avoid it??
Kurt doesn't handle hot spice well. So Maybe its a warning to people who also don't like free taste tests for hot spicy peppers. From what I see in his videos, he puts all kinds of gross stuff in his mouth haha. Its good to be open. I just don't understand why he eats things he know he doesn't like.
I've remembered passing by this street just before covid, I bought some fruits and nuts from the old ladies and they were just super friendly. That's actually an amazing street full of life and i hope to visit it again.
The only times you need to avoid this market and the area around it is night times. You just did not understand the guy told you to lick the pepper and when you started eating it he told you to spit it out.He definitely wasn't having a laugh or anything it was just the language barrier that got you confused
Please explain why you would avoid such a charming market? Nobody seems hostile and the food I’m sure is fresh and delicious. Don’t tell people to avoid such a place because that may interfere with these peoples livelihoods. They have to make a living and you could’ve said “Come visit this beautiful market“ instead of avoid it. Send the business their way.
The title is just to grab peoples attention, if you (or anyone that was interested) actually watched the video, you would know that it was because he ate a very hot chili. it was a joke, a bit of humour - take some.
@@aaronf5916 Yes, it is clickbait and it is totally normal for RU-vid. Thats why Kurt has nearly 800.000 subscribers in such a short time. Welcome to the internet lol
correct. Its like acid in the throat. Infact he walked just past the pastry and bakeryshop, and the white thick wheat bread is better. put it in mouth and keep it there. Sponge effect. sucks the worst of the pain out.
@@dylantillman4895 I would disagree, I would call him a doos. Never had an issue in that market. Also him saying Germany instead of South Africa “because they won’t know” is an insult. I’m from South Africa, been living in Sofia for more than 3 years. Majority know South Africa.
In the future my friend remember when eating a chili break it open remove ALL the seeds (they contain the casein oil which is what makes them hot; but be aware your fingers now have the oil on them) and eat the fruit without major repercussions.
Funny fact! You shouldn’t be surprised to find people speak more german than english because everybody here chooses german as a secondary language rather than english. We have a lot germanophiles
Keep making videos. No one is perfect he is still learning about the world he just speaks his mind. But I’m pretty sure in 10 years his videos will be more amazing. He stil has a good heart.
I meet some Bulgarians couple of years ago in my home country and they were very generous people, polite and easy going guys. As an Albanian I do really respect Bulgarians they're decent human beings.
I am from Bulgaria and yes the live here isn't very good an easy but the people are friendly. You can always find a help here. Also there are really beautiful nature and really old historical places.
The Woman's bazar in Bulgaria is actually cheap, however once the locals find out you are a tourist the prices do rise, so my advice is that you communicate as much in Bulgarian as possible and avoid any other language
He isn't German but South African. Why was he hiding that he's from there is also pretty mental. Probably thought locals don't know anything about the white population of SA and won't believe him (or it doesn't sound as prestigious as saying he's German)
Your title is shocking though maybe it isn't exactly what you intended. I visited that market often while I was in Sofia; it's marvelous. I think you've come long way in your travels but, here, for God's sake, ease up and go with the flow. Eating a hot pepper isn't an extinction event! Another thing: I've been to 16 countries and lived in 11 countries. The hubris of asking anyone to support my travels is beyond my comprehension.
Times have changed. If you're gonna go after Kurt for profiting from youtube, then shouldn't you go after every single channel that makes revenue from travel vlogs?
Travel vloggers travel waaayyy more than the average person. It's their main job. If you enjoy the content and watch every video that comes out, maybe consider donating. I did.
@@Sisterlisk , I'm going to start travel vlogging in April. I will probably post some videos on YT (I have one simple clip on YT now). If I get a Patreon account, I'll take back my statement but that style isn't really me, to ask for donations. And I've been a traveler/non vlogger for 4 years now: 16 countries.
I honestly like you but I also find it funny how you assume what people are thinking like in Egypt. “They see a blonde white person and think I’m as alien it’s so fascinating to them” they’re not savages and pretty certain they’ve seen many white people (tourists) but maybe it’s cause you’re walking around with a camera in their neighbourhoods speaking a different language I promise they don’t go home and think too much about it haha💕 probably also listening and reacting to your effort in speaking their language
@@DEDEJL Yeah true. Same in one of his videos from Bulgaria. He was holding a camera, speaking loudly and saying "Good afternoon" to every single perosn he was seeing and after that made the conclusion that everybody is staring at him because he is blonde, while we have many blonde people in Bulgaria. 😂😂😂 And everyone knows where is South Africa. However, many people tend to think that Africans are only black and it could be confusing from that persepctive.
Come on man…how didn’t you know that it was a chili pepper?? You surely can’t be that naive. Everyone was so nice and respectful, people offering you to try their beautiful produce with pride. You didn’t need to call him a name, he didn’t trick you at all.
Are you kidding? There are also red peppers that are sweet. Why didn't he give him a harmless pepper if he was so nice and kind? I think that was his intention to make senseless fun, otherwise he could warn beforehand.
In this part of Europe you don't need to hide where are you from ... you would be surprised how well people know geography in all Balkan countries....we are not stupid like americans who dont know their own countries....greetings from Serbia ... you are great ... just keep it up
americans know geography, those videos you see of us not knowing simple things online is because the interviewers will look for drunk people or go to a place where people sre trying to have fun not take the day seriously and ask hundreds of people just to get a few of those stupid answers to put it in a video, its a shame that everyone thinks we are so stupid
Kurt shows in all his videos how important positive friendly customer service is....Kurt will buy something from you just cause your nice most of the time
What I'm doing here, first time on this chanel and my last. BTW, the small onions are onion sets and you suppose to plant them in a soil and grow them. 0:38 it's a leek. It's from the onion family, but it is not a spring onion for sure! P.S. I'm out of here after watching it about a minute and a half. This video is full of ...disinformation, it's a waste of time.
@@aidanfeeney4894 Different countries have different reputations in the world. In some countries you are more welcome as a german while in others they wouldn‘t like you. It‘s all stereotypes. People in these comments here even called Germany „naci“ (Nazi), which is something so darn long ago and almost forgotten history.
I think it is deeply disturbing to tell people that you are from Germany instead of South Africa. Even more confusing I would say. By lying to people you create a mistrust and show signs of personnality disorder, you should be honest with people, especially since they are being nice and honest with you. It's never too late to start telling them the truth. Be nice to the world and the world will be nice to you.
Agreed, it’s no more confusing to say “I’m South African” than it is to claim to be German. I think there’s more to it, cause Kurt’s explanation simply doesn’t make sense.
@@domemcdomerson I think you're right David, there's obviously more to it. Not sure why one would be hiding its true origins and not be proud of it. Would be good to hear from you @Kurt Caz
What's "deeply disturbing" about it? He has German ancestry but was born in South Africa??? He also speaks German, so it's quite understandable that he would tell people in Bulgaria that he's from Germany.
@@domemcdomerson I think there's more chance of Bulgarians knowing about Germany and potentially speaking the language than knowing about South Africa and speaking Afrikaan. Just use your brain a little, then it all makes sense.
LOL small peppers are usually very hot. One of my favorites is a Bulgarian carrot pepper it is similar in size to the one you tried bur orange and quite hot too.
I feel bad for the Berry lady at 1:00 . She probably thinks you have a hatred for Bulgarian produced fruit. You said they were nice but then walked away when she confirmed they were from Bulgaria.
Whenever you get 'burned' by a hot pepper...Always go for dairy ! Ice cream is the best ! But cold milk, yogurt, or even cheese will help soothe the burn. Pass the word !
