We had an unfortunate encounter with a tuk tuk scam in Dehradun. The driver offered a cheap fare to our destination but left us stranded in the middle of the road, demanding money and almost getting violent. Beware of these scams where drivers stop short of the destination and insist you've arrived. After this ordeal, we headed to the Tibetan Market to try some delicious Thukpa and Momo, ending our day on a better note.

I know this was a bad experience but I’m also aware that this doesn’t define Dehradun. There are far more honest and good people in Dehradun like those good folks at the restaurant towards the end of the video. You can help others by sharing this video so that more people are aware about these new scams ✌

Listen dude iam from Dehradun. Never book Tuk-Tuk auto/ rikshaw / 3 wheeler electric vehicle from here. Most of these 3 wheelers are operated by Muslims who are emigrants here. These Muslims come from U.P Bangladesh. These are not even locals ! Always book Uber and ola . They are genuine and will give you genuine rates for 4 wheeler vehicle. So sorry to see this. Here they don't say anything in front of locals as theybare afraid. Their main targets become people like you who are tourist. Who fall into their tricks.

Tourists & locals should avoid muslim shops and shouldn't buy from muslim vendors, not buy or take anything from them. Before buying anything just ask their identity or check if any muslim symbol is there in their shop, if you find anything suspicious just avoid and move to a Hindu vendor and buy from there.
