Avoiding fireworks injuries on July Fourth 

Firecrackers, mortars and bottle rockets are the fireworks that cause injuries. An emergency-medicine specialist says Harborview Medical Center in Seattle treats about 55 injuries every year around Independence Day, most of which involve the hands and eyes.
