The m53 switched to those buckles since there were concerns that the plastic buckles would break, which sometimes occurred when the m50 was being fielded
hey if you were a special forces group and money was of no concern and you needed to wear a CBRN gas mask and you were fighting in tight enclosed spaces what gas mask/gas mask setup would you use and why?
I saw on another comment where you said you have no intention of reviewing a SGE 400/3 BB because of the price. I just found your channel and was really hoping that you’d have that video. Would you say it’s over priced? Is there a better option for someone who just wants a no shit, emergency mask to get for their family that’s currently available?
They actually lost their NIOSH approval for not meeting their standards. I more don't want to review it because I'm mainly a collector and I don't really want one for my collection. Would feel like a waste of money to me. What I'd recommend for most people is a C50. It's is designed well and works perfectly. However, on more of a budget, I'd recommend an M40. On an extreme budget, the Israeli 4A1 works well as long as you don't try to use its drinking system.
I always have problems installing the lenses, finding the side mount points. Therefore, mine is like one point mounted and always fall off. And there is no tutorial in the RU-vid. Would you please make a short tutorial and I am pretty sure all service members wearing glasses will thank you 😄
@@botstowo U know everytime I got resistance, I just quit, afraiding broke the mask and got yelled by serge🤣 BTW the amount of resistance is counter intuitive, for good reason though, but there's no official instructions
@@TheCapitalist_read_Das_Kapital Yeah lol I'm not a big fan of the design. Like it's super secure when you get it right but holy hell is it a pain in the ass. You're right, it's very counter intuitive
