A 13-year-old middle school student was hit and killed by a train Monday afternoon in Highlands County, authorities say.
The teen attended Avon Park Middle School, which is a short distance from the railroad crossing where the student was struck by the train on West Bell Street and South Feagin Avenue, the sheriff's office said in a Facebook post.

You know that it was his fault that he was killed because he wasn't looking both directions so it's not the trains fault

@@CapxlYT thats the dumbest thing i ever heard its not his fault cause the train was late? so if it was on time somebody else might have been hit? and he had head phones the lights were flashing gates were down and yet its amtrak's fault cause they were late

Its not his fault bro he didnt hear see or nothing there is a sidewalk for people to walk and thats where he walked he didnt hear it or nothing he had his headphones on that kid was my best friend yall need to stop blaming him if you don't even know that story

@@ashleyannfigueroa20 so who do they blame? blame Amtrak? who should they blame kids walking on the tracks i see that all the time putting up axtra gates to block the sidewalks who's paying for that? they'll just ignore them and walk around
