Hi! Japanese person here! She made this song for her Japanese fans (Me, back in the day) She consulted Japanese language specialists to get the Japanese parts right. This video is so close to J-pop, and I love the bright colors and the loving of our food. So, white people, you can't call this racist when no Japanese person thinks that way.

To those people who aren't aware, Avril is a huge star in Japan. She is so big to the point where she has to record Girlfriend in Japanese. She also sang anime openings in one of One Piece movies and Annie Leonhart's character design from attack on titan was also inspired by her. She is also the first western artist in Japanese history to have three albums in a row to sell over a million copies in Japan. Avril has also lived in Japan for a few years, can speak little Japanese, and has multiple clothing line store in Japan. It make sense why Avril made Hello Kitty (and the fact that her directors, producers, etc. are all Japanese while making this vid) because her career wouldn't be as big as she is now without the help of her Japanese fans, hence I doubt she made Hello Kitty out of mockery.
