Her music actually changed A LOT on her 4th to 6th silly albums, when nobody cared for her anymore 'cause she would do what she actually felt like not listening to corporate interests. Now she might be having a moment because for some reason pop punk is having a moment thanks to talentless personalities such as his new boyfriend and machine gun kelly, who seem to be claiming the invention of pop punk under the shadow of a genuine pop punk legend called Travis Barker. Long story short: she's doing this 2002 sound on 2022 'cause she's got herself a bunch of new friends who actually used to wish to be her back in 2002 when they were kids in high school who's told her that playing and electric guitar was cool again. Long story ultra mega super short: she's not great, she's business, thirsty and hungry.

Just like Taylor Swift, she do Reputation, which is very dark theme, and then now she had Folklore and Evermore which is a very different genre than most of her album who are mostly pop and country. But still, Reputation still holds a heart on me since I saw a very delicate Taylor who had enough of media lies. I want to see Avril to do that kind of album.

I personally prefer both music and lyrics that display otherworldly talent like Tool, Radiohead, Joanna Newsom, Grateful Dead, Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, The Doors, Victor Wooten, CloZee, and Tipper. For me music should be pure art that is deep, complex, emotional, and spiritual.

@@tintedcherry Artists need to have been around in the industry for 25 years in order to be nominated to become inducted into the RRHoF. Once they hit 25 years they can be nominated (but it doesn't gaurantee a nomination). So she still has roughly another 5 years to go, and then we'll find out.

I disagree, I think she did what she wanted too last time. Coming from a long time fan here as well, I think she went back to her old sound because the last alum didn't take off as hoped. This could be considered a sell out too. Going back to a known formula. I like it either way. I bought my copy yesterday!

Her last album Head Above Water was during her dark battle with Lyme disease when doctor after doctor wasn’t finding what was wrong with her and instead calling her depressed or crazy (based off her interview she did). She was in a much more serious place and I think that album reflects that. She is now in a much more healthier place in her life, and she wants to have fun, and rock out. This album is reflecting that as well.
