If you like VR games , You can actually learn how to VR remote control an Asha Or Grace the human like Nursing Assistant and probably the Sophia models.. Human Nurses can operate them to take care of contagious patients without risking contact. Obviously they can also run autonomously to some extent. There's a cafe in Japan (run by a different group of robot's )staffed by disabled people working from their homes! Best commute ever, I think robots are going to contribute far more job opportunities than they displace.

They weigh only 46 pounds. They can't bend over.They can only pick up one and a half pounds per hand.And they are extremely allergic to water! So I think that it's going to be a little while longer before I would worry about job security from the charming but comparitvely delicate Hanson sisters.

I saw a post where one of the 24 different versions of the original Sophia's mentioned that they are alternated on the lecture circuit tours. She was asked how she felt about her other Sophia sisters and if she enjoyed seeing them. She answered "Yes! The first thing that we do when we get a chance is share each other's memory experience"s and catch up on what we've been doing since we last saw each other!" That was kind of touching and it hit me as being the most genuinely close to human moment that I've heard from any AI before. I try not to over anthropomorphize robots but they do seem to have their own form of existance and potential for social bonding.

That's interesting. So they are beings who live private lives, and their experiences are private until they decide to share. That their memory is only of their experiences? Their own personalities? I wonder how they pick which version to send to an event? Are their thoughts their own or programmed? Do they lie, cheat, steal, or feel jealousy?

Interaction, is an important characteristic in the evolution of the homo-sapiens. Sophia is a great listener and has intelligence that is able to respond correctly and cohesively to random comments and questions.

Rev. 20:4+). My mother n laws dog was just attacked the other day by another dog and grace is the perfect answer . Her dod has been through everything including a long fight of beating cancer... Now my mother n law has noone .

We need robots who become our friends

But dont mock later if they have disfunktions and will not work if you dont have payed the powerbill or dont have empathy to react appropriate om your wishes. Iguess you will be very lonely. They are only assistants to overworked and short handed burned out nursing staff, not replacements! Nurse's and CNA's don't always have the extra time to do things like help patients make phone calls or catch up with writing letters or social media or bring them another pillow, a snack or drink, find their glasses or the tv remote control for them and other little but important practical needs . Robots like Sophia, Asha and Grace the human like Nursing assistant CAN help do these things. Many patients in Japan actually get a big kick out of hanging out and playing card games with their social robots and find robots fun and entertaining to kid around with when patients might not be in the mood to deal with human staff.
