I mean we do order groceries online even though we could just go to the market and buy some ourselves, or like order stuff frm amazon which we can get in our nearby shops. This is how it is and i think getting our clothes fixed online is a g8 idea.... Like i get it the numbers are not impressive at all but the idea is not bad

@2A.Freedom 2 года назад
Right, but you're ordering from established local companies who have been in business for decades. If you were to take an already established seamstress/alterations business and offer online ordering and local pickup/delivery services, that might work. But to send your clothes to a business in another state and have them send them back, seems like a waste of time and money.

I agree, at one point it seems to hit her that this cannot work. I have had moments like this in business, where I realise through discussion that an approach i thought was bullet proof is actually full of holes.

I think it’s one of derision - she can’t fathom why these savvy investors can’t see the huge potential of her (massively failing) business. Theo was spot on when he said he bets she didn’t hear a word of what they told her. Delusion and reckless with other peoples money.

@@jacobthorpe4316 Um she absolutely has. Clothes Doctor grew 270% last year alone, trades internationally online, attracted £1m on their second raise last year, and has partnerships with a long list of major retailers and clothing companies. Try doing some research instead of using your imagination.

Having lived in Cornwall for years ,it’s very easy to think that your business is doing well because people lose track of what is going on in the rest of the Country. The most commonly used expression is that things will be done ‘dreckly’,.not a bad thing if like lots of people are happy ,but not over the Tamar.

The business is practically hemorrhaging money - the only way I could see her business actually working is if she shut down the workshop and focused only on selling products that extend the life of your clothes.

£150 for an invisible mend on a trousers . You could buy 6 trousers for £25 in M&S for this amount . Plus who is going to go all the trouble of finding a suitable bag to put them in , then walk down to the Post Office, queue up, pay the exorbitant cost of postage these days and wait for them to be delivered back .

I think the Dragons are wrong. Saying you can just go to the dry cleaners in the 21st century is dumb, why have Deliveroo when i can just walk around to the local takeaway shop?
