I was raised in a financially well household in seattle before i came back to india and i can say that i am utterly disgusted by the people who treat the people with lower income like 2nd class citizens. Never in my life have i disrespected a person based on their income, gender, caste or religion.

Buddy asking ur maid to sit on sofa when guests r there at home is behaving equally with them.. Then expect them sitting with ur friends with equal respect. in India it's a package mentality. Sitting on floor is complete disrespect.. on sofa is friendly. She chose the middle-stool😅

In our house we treat house maid and servant equally, no discrimination..my mother used to serve them tea before they start work, my wife follow the same, during lockdown we provided free grocery to them, when my father was bedridden, husband of one of the house maid look after him during the daytime..one should never forget the struggle days.

Agree with this documentary, but on the flip side , people working in this sector need to understand that not everybody has a big heart. Not everybody doesn't feel threatened when they stand equal to the higher circle. You gotta decide what works in your favour.

When you start behaving with a servant equally, get ready to be treated by them equally. It’s a hard fact based on experience. They should be treated politely but making a servant sit with you equally makes them forget how you should be treated. Can you imagine members of house and maid sitting on same sofa? Please be practical. Don’t be rude but be practical. There’s nothing to make such a hype of this. Servant should also be polite and not egoist. No one will want an egoist servant.

Jb owner ghr pe ni hote to ye maid unke bed pr bhi bathti hai, unke bartn mein khana bhi khati h, to owner kya kr leta hai. 2. Iss maid ka pati achha hai, to ye sb kiya. Aam tor pe maids ke ghr mein boht klesh rehta hai to wo seh leti hai .😢

Maids serve but are not servants. As long as this attitude remains and labour is not given its dignity India will never become a developed nation. Not to boast but what made us truly human is that every maid, paper delivery, carwash, laundry man were given full salary during lock down.
