She talks on the phone about the inhumane way her friend treated the cleaning lady, but in the end we see her true colours. Deepdown she is no better than her friend.

Realistically done. Forcefully brings home the fact, that however much we may spout big theories about equality, injustice etc, at the end of the day, when it comes down brass tacks, we're all guilty about our mentality and treatment towards our domestic workers.

I think she could have asked the maid to look for the missing lipstick. This way, even if she had taken it, she would have a chance to keep it back. How can one go through their maids belongings, without searching the house thoroughly, first. Respect for humans of all economic levels, is important.

Really happy you made a flim on this topic. My grandma always suspected the maid who came to our house though she did nothing. Grandma would always say "be aware of her" though I knew she would never ever steal from us or have bad intentions towards us. I was really grateful to have such a kind lady come to our house. She started working at our house near 2013, I loved spending time with her but my mom fired her in Jan last year. Though we still meet sometimes and joke around. She helped us a lot in times when it was tough, my grandma got sick in August 2019 and she helped us a lot but my grandma had a brain hemorrhage so she couldn't make it. We don't have any maid coming to our house at the moment. I don't think we would ever get a better maid than her 💜

Where do we get such innocent calm maids like this gone are those days. They show more attitude n are rude than us .now if I say something to my maid softly n politely she ll quit n go 😂

She is not bad, doubt is just a human nature and in the end it creates trust. She must be ahammed of her act n certainly asked for forgiveness.

Firstly saw this story because of the award winning title,But soon realised that its a true story happening in every house.Even though i dont have a maid,i could relate to this,because a maid is not just maid, a human being as well,she has a right to get the same thing what the owner gets, but eventually we end up either fighting with them or behaving very rudely and insult them,and treat her differently. Good job by the writer & actresses, even the shooting as well.Getting inspired to write a short story similar to this in future..!!

And the wheel of life goes round in a never-ending lesson. We hurt each other and sometimes learn our lessons, sometimes not. We repeat until we understand and move past to other lessons. In the end we realize that we are each other, connected, and made of the same ingredients. Some flowers bloom and reach their potential and some are stuck in the earth, stunted and dormant. Eventually we come to know that every life is of the same precious value. Be kind and spread love.

No difference between both ladies .. Maid is above them. A good one..it shows true colours of rich people

All good but this is ironic. On one hand she stands up for her maid... And on another level she suspects her of theft.

That name Shabana Murmu was so meticulously chosen ..Man, the expression of lady on listening the name and justification given by the other, gave a good initial peek into their characters… it attacked on many front🙃

Her female colleague was so uncomfortable seeing her friend's maid that she didn't ask for water as she didn't want to share her crystal glass with the maid as she was thirsty for water. At last the maid's employer didn't trust her loyalty. Both the women were same doubtful towards the maid.

Either don't employ a help or treat them like humans. Sad part is these people treat their pets better 💔

Around a decade ago, I was working and staying with one of my relative. They had a house help who used to sleep in the same room as me. I was young, starting out and was not very careful about every single bill that was in my purse. Over a period of time she kept stealing from me. My aunt caught her, much after I left that place. I had no space to kind of lock my stuff and you may blame me for not being very particular. While it's true good and bad experiences prevail, it goes without saying we all should be respectful and empathetic towards house helps. I agree, the water and food incident was in bad taste.

She could hv asked the maid whether she had seen the lipstick in any corner of the house or could hv asked her to search for it alongwith her. That shows more equality and trust

There are good maids too, but due to prejudice, we doubt good ones too. We have to be sure before taking an action. Often, time exposes the truth itself. Patience must be kept.

It's beyond my understanding why slavery still exists. I've seen so many "maids" being treated so poorly! This neighbor of mine used to make his maid sleep on the floor because apparently he turned his servant room into a store room. By logic, one shouldn't be taking up so many responsibilities if you can't do it on your own. Don't get that extra showpiece if you can't clean it & don't have 4 kids if you can't change their nappies. I feel sad for whoever in this world is introduced as someone's "maid". If you've ever sat down with one & actually had a conversation with, you'll hear stories of struggle & giving up on life. They just don't have any option.

I am assuming this woman was raised in Poverty herself. That is why she makes her domestic staff feel like real people.

The film also portrays the reservation about hiring Muslims. A short pause and the facial expression when she mentions her name as Shabana says it all. The very fact that she too had to justify that she is catholic says a lot about the common mentality on part of both the persons.

what can't be changed should be ignored.. Mad inpressions are beyond excellence.... Her character clearly showed how she is totally used to and now totally confortable with these cruel behaviours of society.. She doesn't even bother if anyone disgrace her .... let it gooooo girl

Content is applicable in today's time, if something goes missing one has maids or help to blame for...both ladies are mean but it also holds that maids can also be thieves...end is good 👍🏻👍🏻

This brought tears . However, there will be plenty of people with varied thoughts. A few owners will be rude whilst a few domestic helps are also rude. There are all sorts of people be it the owner or helper. Just that whoever you are just be humble and don't forget to be down to earth. Acting is superb. This shows the real people, read nature... Nothing overdone.

why should there be a spare glass for a maid? maid is a human being and she can use the same glasses which we use. even my maid eats and drinks water with any utensil I have in my kitchen. she brings saag for me from her small farm and big heart and my mom makes it for me. when my mom is not at home she makes food for me. even I tell her to make normal parantha bcz i don't want to bother her but she tells don't worry I will make aloo parantha for you because she knows I love aloo parantha.

Moral of the story she is extremely comfortable with her maid as a sister in good and bad both 😂 She don't know the boundaries because she feel her as a family may be Doubt is a human basic nature we doubts on family also sometimes. But we take that in a healthy way. When my mother's one jwellery piece was lost she checked in my jwellery and even my cupboard We do such things more oftenly among the siblings also but we don't mind it at all.
