Jeannine, My ward is performing this arrangement for our Christmas program. I was asked to play the flute part. I'm not very good because I haven't kept up with the flute as I would have liked. I was hoping you could give me some help in reaching the high A flat and G. You play those delicate high notes so beautifully. I'm hoping you can help me to play those notes so that it doesn't sound so forced. Thank you for any pointers you can give me.

Believe it or not, the chorus I am in performed this same arrangement almost two years ago and if you don't mind, I would like to share with you an editional verse of my own. It is as follows. Hello, Jeannine - it is wonderful to listen to MTC and all the orchestra solists such as you. I am 70 years old, from Germany, have been all over the continents, also to the USA twice. Your music is like "balm for the soul" - especially in this season. Christmas is near... and we should calm down a bit from the year's trouble and hassle allover. This is America. We pretty much are into the Mueller version of this most delightful Christmas Carol, not the Cradle Song version - but they're both great - although Mueller is what most people remember from elementary school and much prefer.
