JA's parents were from our island, Leódhas agus na-Hearadh, in the Western Isles and lived in Loch Ailort. His parents were from na-Hearadh (Harris) and there were, and still is , many, many men that are strong like that in our islands. The Basque men in some districts are reputed to be the same.
