The lower stretches of the Connecticut River have been loaded with blue crabs this year. Setting traps in shallow water yielded 57 keeper crabs in just a few hours of fishing.

Freshly caught blues are no joke , these are mean crabs not afraid to chase you , compare to the half dead ones at the store

FYI in CT all crab traps must by attended at all times. This isn't legal.
