Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ru-vid.comUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

Some really big croakers there, nice black drum too. Nice to see that trout, when I moved to PSL in 2014 I used to get them pretty much everywhere I fished in the Indian river now I rarely see them.

You should try some offshore fishing like down in pompano beach if you paddle out about 1.5 miles you can get into 2-300 feet of water

Unfortunately over the last 20 years the nasty catfish have increased more and more here in the IRL system. Some days it's hard to get a lure or bait past them. I live just north of you here in Brevard County. Enjoy your videos.

Awesome video Rich! Hey bud, I just purchased a Old Town Sportsman PDL 106 Kayak. I got it all rigged up and ready to fish. Got a Lowrance Hook Reveal 5 finder on it too. I live in Central Florida. I used to go fishing at the Sebastian Inlet a lot. But unfortunately the Sebastian Inlet is not so good for kayak fishing. Can you suggest a good fishing spot for me to take out my brand new kayak and try it out for the first time? Preferably a spot like the one in this video, with structure and not too many waves on the water.

Fort Pierce is a great area to launch and fish around the spoil islands. Or Round Island in Vero beach.

Around Fort Pierce there is a north and south causeway bridge that have some. Also any nearby concrete wall, jetty, or pilings can have those species.

Not a tarpon snook, But close!!! You got yourself a sword spine snook. The tarpon snook have some what of the thread on the dorsal fin (like a tarpon) but the two are almost identical

What's the best spinning rod and reel combo in your opinion for the type pf fishing you do. I'm going down to Florida for a week for a wedding and my wife is in the wedding so I'll have plenty of time to wet a line. Not too familiar with salt water but love watching your content to learn some new species and techniques

You don’t need much. Probably just a 3000, or 4000 size reel paired with 7’ medium fast action rod. 10 or 15lb braid on the reel, and 40lb fluoro leader. If you want to fish around more heavy structure for bigger fish then a 7’ heavy action rod with a 5000 size reel 20 lb braid and 50lb leader would be better. A store called Ramsey Outdoors in NJ. If you go to the Hobie store you can find a dealer. Or go on Facebook market place and look up Hobie Outbacks. I’m sure you’ll find some good used ones in your area.

Don’t eat the trout even if it is in season out of the River, our estuary is all jacked up and FWC should close it out like redfish but has not. Our stock has dwindled to nothing the last thing we need is more people eating them.

I think what you're seeing is Rich dodging the fins of some of the fish. The black drum and croakers have needle like fins on the back that will pierce your hand easily. He uses the dehooker for the catfish because they're fins are essentially spears.
