I think the best I’ve ever gotten was 23ish. When I manage to resist temptation and only take it out on weekends on the highway I get about 18-19. The rest of the time as a daily commuter/weekend trip vehicle it’s 16-17. Definitely took some getting used to never having a truck or Jeep before but it is what it is. Still love it!
Pretty happy with my 18 mpg. I traded in a 2007 Dodge Dakota that gave me about 13-14 mpg. That 5 mpg difference won’t pay for the Gladiator…but the smile on my face every time I drive it will more than cover the cost. Still, I’m hoping to crack 20 on an upcoming distance trip.
You will look back fondly on the mileage when you go to 35’s. 😉 When I travel at 75 running up to Ft Worth I get around 19. That is 580miles stopping once for gas. So steady speed. Actually for the weight of the vehicle and having the aerodynamics of a 2x4 with a block on top that isn’t bad. Remember trucks are geared to move stuff not just their own weight. That gearing matters.
I drive a 2021 Sport with 6 speed manual. On a 240 mile trip today on the turnpike and interstate highways, I got 28.3 mpg. Overall, since March 12 and 7000 miles, I average exactly 21.6 mpg.
18.2-18.9 avg. Mopar Lift, 33s. I have a company car so when I get off duty I primarily drive five miles on the highway (65-70) then 10-15 back on rural roads when I pick my kids up from daycare. I am not a lead foot, and I’m getting about 4-5 better than my Tundra. Curious, I use 87….Will increasing octane help with mileage? Regardless. I bought my truck because it’s cool. Not because it’s good on gas.
I have been getting 18.5 to 19 mpg. I once got up to 23mpg on the highway. The lowest I ever got was 15.5mpg when I first got my Jeep and learning the feel of the petal compared to mg old tiny car.
With factory tires, after over 7000 miles, I averaged 21.1 mpg with a 70/30 split. I now have 28575r17 BFG TA KO 2s and am averaging 18.1 mpg. I miss the 21.1 but love the new stance! lol
Did you correct the speedo and shift mapping? You can recoup some of that millage back if you do and also if you did not correct the speedo you are actually getting better gas millage that displayed ( unless you are already hand calculating it).
There are places in Canada the folks with electric cars wait as long as 2 1/2 hours in line to charge their cars. I'd be grateful to pass that line in my 15 mpg jeep 😁.
I'm getting 10.9 kilometers per liter not sure what that is in "American " gallons lol but I'm on 35's and a 2.5 inch lift which is actually amazing!! The biggest thing is just drive the speed limit!
I'm getting about 16+ in my stock 2021 Willys Gladiator. That's a mix of mostly city and some highway. But I do have a heavy foot on starts. At first, I would watch my mpg while driving and then decided that I didn't buy a Jeep to worry about mpg and take the fun out of driving it! So no more of that.
You could have possibly traded your current Gladiator for the Ecodiesel Engine Gladiator for more torque and better gas mileage. However, the maintenance cost for the Ecodiesel Engine is outrageously expensive.
So happy mine gets better mileage than yours (at this moment! Mine is showing an average of 15.6 mpg right now. I have gotten up to 20 mpg on strictly freeway long trips. I will have to check my mileage when I am on a trip averaging 90+ mph. 26 mpg sounds good. However, I will need to consider the cost of the speeding ticket and evaluate if it will be worth the fuel savings. Considering the frequency of your videos I think you work to much for an old retired guy. Keep up the good work.
Comparisons - Eco boost mustang, 2022. If im going on a long road trip, i can set cruise control at 75, and get 35 miles to the gallon. But in usual driving around the city- 19.5ish mpg. At 3.80 a gallon for 19mpg, that's ~$.20 a mile? Regular gas, at 3.19 a gallon, and 17mpg equates to ~ $.19 a mile. Same price, 15mpg = $.23 a mile. So, to travel 10,000 miles a year, 2300 dollars at .23 a mile for 15mpg gladiator. 1900 for 17mpg, and and 1950 a year for me, with premium... So, I mean yes, it all adds up - $400 a year.. But,. how much money do i waste getting a coffee and a donuts 5 days a week?. Essentially, your right people are going to complain about fuel economy, but then spend 6.00 a day on cigarettes, or soda, or other crap..... and if that 400.00 difference is really that important, perhaps I can cut down on the crap that i buy to eat or smoke, eh? :p
Fueled up with $50 got 14.008g 353 miles of range .. normal city driving drove 100 miles and I’m down to 229 I feel there’s something terribly wrong 16300 miles on it
@@danielbarrios7420 I would understand the millage if that was the case. Jeep guy here, this is my third (still have my TJ) . Just surprised the milage goes down on the highway.
