Pellet/slug clipping is a sure sign of too much internal turbulence, full stop. if it can't be rectified by reg adjustments etc etc. then the silencer is to blame, 100%
But is it effective on a 50 caliber Megalodon?that’s what I need to know, will it change the tone of that crack the rifle makes when discharging it? These things are way over priced, I could probably just make one.
I've been very unimpressed by DonnyFL. Huma or 0 dB are both better, but the truth is that most airgun silencers aren't very good and can be radically improved by adding custom baffles. That's not true of most DonnyFL products however as most use a monocore that can't be easily replaced with something effective.
@@thomasmills2404 …..to tell you the truth I never even knew they made these for air rifles until recently. I got me the gauntlet. I stumbled onto these silencers because I RU-vidd it . I thought my gauntlet was a tat loud and starting doing research. I thought “I’ll get me one of these” to see if it works . Well I couldn’t find any online, I thought it was weird until I saw the DonnyFL website . I didn’t see any in stock so I emailed them and they told me they couldn’t sell or speak on the matter . Like I said I’m new to all the air gun stuff…..why would they ban them for air guns ? Are they closely similar to the ones for real rifles? Or it’s the same shit just different stronger materials ?
@@6xflowerranch890 😆 I know! Me too. I got an GAMO SWARM GEN 2 in .177 cal. I clocked the lightest pellets I could find ( Winchester 3.0 gr) at 1650fps. It sounds like a .22 Short rifle. Absolute penetrator on squirrels. Nose to anus and everything in-between. I have to make 1 of these for it using its muzzel brake as a pre-expansion chamber. Found some excellent designs in the US Patient Office. I can't remove the muzzelbrake. It feels like it maybe pressed on. All composite material.
Did no the hush puppy was a real thing this Donny was similar to a Mano core flash suppreser rapped a cased is you were to ask for my opinion id say very similar 👍👌✌️💯🍻🎯🇺🇸
Way too much funky CNCed work, generating way too much internal turbulence (hence the nicking of the 0.22 projectile. A gimmick at best. Trying to look like a real firearm silencer (some of them). The simple orifice plate is all that is required for any airgun, either high powered or of low power. The hole of the internal structure are way too big for a 0.,22 cal. either high or low power. Nb the "Orifice Plate" design also works well with certain rifles eg the AK 47, infact the early silencers designed for this rifle were indeed simply a series of Orifice plates. There are many vids on YT demonstrating the effectiveness of this proven design.
This is a huge con, buy a Chinese fuel filter , drill through for pellet size and buy thread adapter. Miles better than these phony expensive do fuck all suppressors. I’ll post a vid to show you how.
