Another awesome video. I've kind of stopped watching, at least for now, most of my subscribed RU-vid fishing videos from Florida, but not yours. You put out great content. You deserve many more subscribers than what you have at the moment. I guess RU-vid is getting over saturated with content.

@SaltyStrikes

If you have any questions about any of our videos, just ask in the comment section and I’ll do my best to answer. Should be a nice day out.

Great videos!! But I have a question about this one. When you were fishing with the shrimp, were you on the bottom or bouncing More or less what depth was you shrimp at!!
@SaltyStrikes
@SaltyStrikes 3 года назад
... dropping to the bottom, the Kings were hitting it before it was even half way down. Reds were hitting before it even hit bottom. Usually I let it hit bottom then bring the weight just off the bottom so I can feel the strikes.

Kind of wondering just how endangered are the reds? There are times when I see 70% of Mike's haul are reds.
@SaltyStrikes
@SaltyStrikes 3 года назад
... they are taking over the reefs off east Florida, they aren’t endangered, NOAA, FWC, SAFMC are very misinformed or willfully ignorant, not sure which. Probably political 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️. They were being over fished years ago but they’ve cracked down so hard the species are now taking over.

Too bad you can't keep the Reds, that last one was a whopper. Curious: Is there a way to target Mangrove Snappers offshore? I assume you could keep them.
@SaltyStrikes
@SaltyStrikes 3 года назад
... only Mangrove snapper we’ve been catching out there lately have been small, I’m sure if we move around enough we’ll find some bigger ones. Have found some decent Lane snapper. Did you see the 19” Lane I caught a little while back? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kS6otXVYTFU.html

@@SaltyStrikes Yes, I have that video viewed and thumbed. I'm partial to Mangroves because my modest fishing experience consists of inshore jon boating in South Florida Mangroves-- more about exploration and getting a few 10" keepers than about catching big fish. Thanks for reply.

Don't you asperate the fish?
@SaltyStrikes
@SaltyStrikes 2 года назад
… FWC and NOAA has asked people to stop venting fish because it is done improperly damaging the fish. Your required to have a descending device on board to return them if their swim bladders have expanded. Most of the the time the smaller Reds swim right back down. The bigger Reds will almost always need the use of a descending device. Which I’ve shown in several videos. You can get a free descending device at www.returnemright.org
