If you want an alligator snapping turtle I'd recommend ordering from loggerhead acres

But I checked them out and they only have one type of turtle no turtle selection

This company did a better job with shipping. But if your goal is to promote conservation and education...Do you want your channel to inspire people to buy exotic turtles (to send to you when they realize they are a lot of work after the excitement is over?) I know you don't. But if you read your comments...I'm afraid it's what you're doing. I know you've done research so you know there are rescue groups overwhelmed with sulcatas, russians, res, etc... Your heart is in the right place, but you live in Ohio where most of your guys must be inside a long time. When you go to college who can care for this many turtles. In one video you said you wanted to narrow down the number of species you keep. I believe you said softshells and eastern box turtles. I think that's a good direction. Someone earlier mentioned too, that you are young and enthusiastic. And that's good! But you've suffered some hard losses that have given you more perspective. You already know (and have said) long term you have too many species housed together, some will, and already had to go. You know how hard it is to find good homes...especially for the ones largest or hardest to care for. You recently said sliders will have to go, but you are "unboxing" sliders when you want to keep softshells, for instance. A pen can never replicate the forest habitat eastern box turtles live in... No matter how much time and money you spend. Please keep your enthusiasm, but direct it toward conservation of native species local to where your subscribers live, for instance. You have people from all over the globe asking YOU where they should buy an eastern box turtle. Your numbers are getting you sponsored. It's exciting, but it's also a responsibility. Overall, your enthusiasm and videos of cute hatchlings make more impact than the ones where you try to explain the work, cost, responsibility of cute baby turtles. Look at your number of views for unboxings vs discussing whether to buy captive bred, etc...People like videos of cute baby turtles. Just think about it. Delete this if you like. I have a clutch of box turtles (wild) hatching right now. We protected the nest and left eggs there last fall. Found your channel to see how to give them best odds at release. I had no clue box turtles are now part of pet trade and worth lots of money. I could use the money to offset at least 25K I have spent on setups, a pond, fence, for one res (rescue from plastic container) She's 20. Someone dumped a male in the pond about 6 years ago. I have been vigilant but wound up with one tiny "disposable, nuisance, invasive" res hatchling last fall as well. But it is my responsibility. I can't give it away "to a good home" when I know how much time, money, and work are required to give a res "a good home". Too much for most people. I AM old enough to know that everyone promises to take care of puppies and kittens when they get them. But many of the same people give them to "a good home" or just dump them once grown. Do you really want people box turtles to keep as far north or further than you are? After watching all your videos, I wanted to just keep the box turtles! They ARE cute! But I know better. I watched the sad videos too...Plus I have a pond, 2 adults, and a cute hatchling res so I KNOW better than to try to take on a whole new species.
