At that level it is pure art. Personally in a layout it is 80% scenery and 20% trains. With enough money, any body can buy beautiful engines and cars... but the scenery, that's art... and craft.
Exceptional. Captures that derelict feel of suburban Belgium and Northern-France of the 70's and 80's very well. Some of the trains could do with a little bit of slowing down still; but I see trains running at way higher speeds often. Close to perfect.
It's just spectacular. Anyway, some of these dioramas (it also happens with the trains itself) are sometimes "too" weathered, giving a depressing look to me. In reality there are also perfectly painted houses, new buildings and brand new wagons, mixed with the old elements. Likewise, the work done on this diorama is simply spectacular
Fantastic scenic modelling - perfectly captures an industrial area in France about four or five decades ago - one look and one instantly knows where one is, and when. The small details are captured to perfection, and are uniquely French. However, the operations are a bit boring, which appear to consist solely of the same train running round and round the bottom loop, and alternating trains running around the top level.
Phenomenal! The overall picture is slightly spoiled only by the figures of people, who look somewhat unnatural...
… but thats H0 or smaller, … everybody speaks about Problems, jerky run-up, shaky wagons, no scaleconform tracks, wagons and locos are not in quality scale, there are people, who lay tracks in multiple floors, they drive, brake or accelerate too fast, and there are unnaturally much tracks. H0 is expensive, when you have to modify your models: Digitizing: 45.00 Euro + high-performance-engine 35.- Euro + work 50.- Euro = ca. 130.- Euro. A locomotive of equal performance in gauge 0 costs ca. 800.- Euro but have everything: Weight, light, decoder digital equipment, sound, high-performance-engine. She loks better and drive without any problems.
