·Praying mantises are usually solitary except during the breeding season, but they are great hunters and their diet does not consist solely of insects, did you know that they are capable of eating birds? Even frogs, lizards or little mice.
There are still many to discover in tropical regions of the planet, but did you know that? They are relatives of cockroaches!
· The wolf spider belongs to the family of arachnids Lycosidae, females usually inhabit caves built in the ground, waiting lurking at the entrance to surprise their prey, while males roam the territory in search of females and food. Its furry physiognomy, chelicerae, its face and the shape of its eyes give it that name, and may have a resemblance to dogs.
· Spiders are a group of arthropod animals of which approximately 45,000 different species are known throughout the world, and it is likely that many remain to be discovered. Spiders (Araneae) are the most numerous order in the class of arachnids (Arachnida). They have poisonous glands in their chelicerae with which they paralyze their prey, thick cloth with which to trap them or build shelters where they patiently wait for their next victim to pass by. But did you know what? Can fly! Some species of spiders are carried away by gusts of wind, thus being able to fly great distances.
