heart-of-the-wilderness.blogsp... A video compilation of howling wolves. Some of these clips aren't in the best quality. NOTE: The links to the original videos are in the captions!
We have know way to judge that. It’s reasonable to assume there are probably different intonations of howls to communicate different things. The one that sounds coolest to humans isn’t necessarily the best.
@@sl3epystarzliterally same. And I’ve done so much research on other canines but I always seem to come back to a wolf. Even among all the other wolf therians, guess I’m one too. 😂 (I’m just trying to confirm this mystery theriotype, but I’ve confirmed the others: bat, monitor lizard, and I’m pretty sure a black cat.)
The babies howls are so calming to me for some reason. The adults are both majestic and calming, but also anxiety inducing to some extent. The babies are pure fun
I hope this video never get taken down. I have a two years old german shepherd, and whenever i play this video at night, he will howl like crazy. SO beautiful!
Even after centuries of domestication, my small Kooiker dog still knew how to howl like a wolf. Lily did it only one time in her life, in the middle of the night, I never found out why She died 3 years ago because of cancer, but the love and the howl will always stay in my mind.
The wolf howl is one of the most beautiful, mystical and peaceful thing you could ever hear. I have to say, people don't realize how sensitive, emotional, conscious and functioning these gorgeous animals are. Some humans still swear that wolves are nothing but instinctual and don't have capacity for things like emotions, but if you spend time with wolves or just open your mind a little bit you will undoubtedly see how similar we are to them on so many levels. There are so many things that we as humans can learn from wolves, and other creatures too tbh, if we just took the time to listen and watch what they are trying to say, and what they are actually about. They are far from raw instinct, like humans like to say animals are. Wolves at least, from what I know, are SO much more then just instinct. Makes me wish a wolf could express themselves in the way humans can understand, so everyone else can see what they are actually about.
Dogs see monitor as flickering? My Jack Russel tries to catch mouse cursor with her teeth, when I move it. She growls at cartoon animated dogs and cats even if they're just freaking talking. Sorry, but these facts are outdated.
No, she was curious about the wolfs. She will bark at horses, dogs or any animal on the tv. She hates the sound of puppies crying. She knew what she was looking at because she was looking at the screen.
Majestic sound. When I hear this I just feel a weird sensation. But it makes me feel so well. It's like an echo inside of me like if my soul is howling with them. Beautiful and calming
I got 4 wolves that I raised as pups So they would never attack me But I can howl and they can be all the way on the other Side of the field and they will Howell back and we can hear them We got 18 acres of land So yeah it's pretty far away sometimes
Been their before. Wasn't so bad the first time when I had a bright flashlight and my handgun. Second time without all that was much different, almost wet myself because it started out of nowhere. Deep in the woods can make things sound so much closer than they actually are.
But they're harmless. They're basically trained to be afraid of humans because of hunters. The majority of wolf attacks on humans happen because of rabies
And a cop car, fire truck ambulance.emergency doctors, animal cop truck etc .if she hears one in distance my husky gets all excited and howls with them. Lol
My parents got an annoying Manchester Terrier - “Nacho” He is very much loved tho & spoiled / disciplined by all of 3 us in the house, they got a German Shepard her names Bonnie but shes quiet unlike Nacho 😂 a “Mini” English Bulldog for me on the way!
@@bradinniederberger4275 haha good one, that actually happened to me, i was lucky that the wolves didn't wanted to kill me... I was so scared that i almost had a heart attack
Great, just great. My dogs started howling like idiots.. the neighbours' dogs started howling too.. the whole fucking villiage is howling.. and i think the stupid dogs in our neighbour village are howling too. It's 10 pm here
My brother from another mother who's birthday would be today.... Always had Rottweilers. He couldn't ever fully grasp the size of wolves. Then one time we got the opportunity to meet some McKenzie Wolfs at a sanctuary. I'll never forget his amazement and child like awe. Charles Garrett Varner I miss you bro. A man's life is forever losing meaning in present and his legacy is all that remains. You were not disposable.
My first child/son Fenix was born premature two weeks ago and right now is the first time hanging with him solo when’s he awake and I’m bouncing him on my knee and playing this for him, he’s pretty content. 🙂
This is Beautiful and frightening at the same time. You can tell how different sounds seen to be conveying something different. I would want to listen to this in an open safe setting.
No wolves here. But as a child raised in the countryside, I used to love enticing the local coyote pack to start howling. I had the perfect range to get them going every time. Would spend hours singing with them on warm nights.
Our Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd lives these howling videos. We howling asking with them so that she doesn't feel as if she's the only howler in the house. Thank goodness we have a 60-acre farm, so we don't need any neighbours to be concerned about. This is a lovely video for dogs of any DNA, but particular those dogs whose DNA is relatively closer to the wolves in the video. Thank you!
@@starscreamofvos if no agriculture u are dead. You are more majestic than a wolf, and u make part of the most dangerous predator specie of our world. U apply ur natural side when u kill another animal, that's all. And that's not sad, that's nature. And if u're all the same sad, go fight 1v1 bare hands with a wolf, or try to tame one and become his best friend lol. We are animals, we are nature, we must survive or be replaced, that's the law.
This is beautiful ! It’s healing medicine, as there is a part of us that feel this much pain. If only we can howl like them . It is the pain and sorrow that we all carry inside that resonates. The pain that it is not being expressed. We need to find a safe space and allow the howling to come out in the form of tears . I know I did as I was going through a transformation and shedding old patterns. It helped me tremendously! Blessings to all 🙏
Was visiting my family in Montana last summer and took the dog. I was walking the dog along the edge of the property when my dog had heard a siren and howled. We went further from the house to the furthest part and he did it again, this time it was answered by what felt like maybe 10 or 12 not that far into the woods. It was scary and blood curdling as hell, the moment they all kind of come into unison you kind of have like a half second panic attack and you feel really small, we just bolted it back
My family and I spend a few days in a tiny cabin in the middle of the Arkansas wilderness several times a year. The first night I heard the wolves howling out in the dark, it provoked such a primal fear in me that I couldn't get to sleep for a long time. Lol
Anna you don't know shit I live in Wisconsin and all the deer here have practically been killed away by wolves we have hunting permits to kill wolves here.
Sam Krahn Just because you live in Wisconsin doesn't mean you "know shit." Current estimates show that there are approximately 5,000 gray wolves remaining in the lower 48, wheres there are literally *millions* of white-tailed deer. 49% of deer in Wisconsin are killed by humans (including roadkill) whereas only 6% are killed by wolves. www.jsonline.com/sports/outdoors/study-sheds-light-on-top-causes-of-deer-mortality-b99190938z1-241992741.html
