I fucking hate plastered logos. It really makes most new releases feel inferior to the older ones and ruins preservation. For example: Toy Story 1 has the 1995 Disney Castle with the fanfare continuing into the music when we first see Woody, Andy and the toys. Fits so well and Disney just had to fuck it all up with the new castle and even put Pixar at the beginning even though Pixar should be at the end. That is why I kept my 10th Anniversary DVD of the first Toy Story.
Me too. Not just on Pixar movies, their late 80's-early to mid 90's 2D animated classics has their logo plastered with the 2006 logo for example, The Lion King with the 1990 castle accompanied by jungle noises leading up to the Circle of Life song. And in the recent prints, what do we get? THE 2006 LOGO WITH THE 2006 MUSIC INSTEAD OF THE JUNGLE NOISES!

The UA one around the beginning (after Viacom) went along pretty good. I'd expect seeing it on reprints of MGM/UA distributed Merrie Melodies VHS tapes.
I actually like some of these messed up audio plasters (the CBS/Paramount and Sony fanfare swap, the Embassy TV logo with the Columbia TV theme); I think some of them doesn't sound too bad. If we want _actual_ terrible plasters, look no further than Lethal Weapon 4 lol
The late 2000s WB logo plasters the 1999 WB logo variant with the explosion, but it's plastered poorly, and after the late 2000s WB logo fades out it just hard cuts to the opening credits (which are inside the explosion)
I remember watching an episode of The Jeffersons on MeTV that was supposed to include the Embassy Television logo after the credits roll but it was instead plastered with the Sony Pictures Television logo.
Here's a strange logo plaster for ya: Nickelodeon/Nick Jr., c. 2011. An episode of Bubble Guppies just finished airing, but after the Nelvana logo, the 2008-2013 Nickelodeon CGI Lightbulb logo plays with the 2009-2023 Nickelodeon Productions theme. The copyright year also erroneously says 2009, even though the show released in 2011. This happened a few times on other shows since the lightbulb wasn't retired until 2013. The strangest thing is it happened twice. Another instance had the laughing children audio, albeit cut off like most Nick Jr. shows did back then. (yes this actually happened and can be seen on all official releases; namely the Prime Video release)
@@TheReimaginedGamer I don't remember the episode but I know it was from season 1. UPDATE: One of the two plasters was from "Happy Clam Day!" It's the plaster with the laughing kids. The one with the Nick theme I cannot find the episode for, however.
I know two, One is a bad Columbia television one where the torch lady appears for a fraction and then the CTV Pretzel plays And another is the same thing but with Gracie Films
I think I've seen those before, but I didn't include them in the video because I wanted to use other ones. Tbh tho, I might make a 2nd part to this video because I liked making it a lot.
CLG Wiki said that a FXX airing of a 2013 episode of The Simpsons had the Gracie Films audio playing over the Spanish credits, then the 2009 Gracie Films logo had the 20th Television logo’s audio. As a result, the 2013 20th Television logo was silent.

on another youtube video i saw a different version of sony (or was it sony?) plastering the tristar logo during the gag, but the "stupid horse with the wings" was intact, so you had the guy saying "and the stupid horse with the wings" but the sony logo plays instead of the tristar logo. it was really funny
