"No need to worry 'cause everybody will die." I always found this thought scary, but this song makes it seem so... normal. Like there's nothing to worry about. It's hard to explain.
That's what i felt like but it's true and we can't stop it. So we might as well be who we all wanted to be and know body can say that they weren't trying to like someone else
It's bit creepy because this song is basically say don't let your fears decide your fame. Mean don't be scared to what you want to do. Kill your Heros as in forget what you mom or dad or anyone that's you're hero Tell you, you can't be an astronaut or an actor or artist or sing be who you want to be. That's why I love this song 😊
I love this song, both for its tune and its message. "Don't be afraid to do what you want; no one is more special than you" should really be heard more often.
yep :) It's those who find it cynical that are actually cynical. Death comes to us all, no need to be afraid, just live your life and walk with your head up.
I graduated too soon. Wish I could have used that myself. Hahahaha. I’m now done with most of my college. Sadly, at many points I let fear decide my fate. 🤦🏻♂️
Cristóbal Colón I don't know about you, but I get more of a "instead of idolizing others, go out and create your own character" instead of worshiping heroes, you just be your own hero. hence why the song is called "Kill Your Heroes" That's my personal interpretation of it though, I think we can all agree this song kicks major ass
i finally did it. i listened to this song since my senior year of high school when it showed up on the 3ds, and i meditated on that line "never let your fear decide your fate". 13 years later, i finally accomplished that and beat one of my worst fears.
My biggest fear has been consuming my mind lately and I heard "Never let your fear decide your fate." Wow I still can't believe how it all changed so quickly
It's funny. As a child, I was afraid of death, like I was just watching a clock with my remaining time tick away. But now, 10 years later, I don't feel the same. That's not saying I love death, I just learned that death is inevitable so just live your life so when you die, you have no regrets.
This song reminds me of all those people I know who have died, some by their own hand, others young, old, and sick. This song is an awesome tribute to everyone who has died.
It's telling you to stop being so scared to do what you want.. "kill your heroes, and fly fly baby dont cry" meaning become your own hero... "no need to worry cause everybody will die" we all die eventually so why wait? like nike says.... we all have that one thing we want to really do, deep down so just do it. fly baby, fly
I'm just learning about AWOL Nation..sorry ; after hearing this song, they are one of my favorite bands!! Listen to their words in this song, amazing..Don't look up to anyone, your occupation doesn't make you, you made of God....deep song!!
Interpretation- sometimes you become too obsessed with someone and want to be exactly like them, but if you can be yourself, you might find yourself better than your hero(s). You shouldn't live to impress anyone but your self because in the end, we're all going to die anyway.
A friend said it's good to hear this song while feeling down. You listen to the song and write down every negative thing in your head, cross it out and find something positive about that one negative thing.
I got to see them back in May. Wasn't expecting them to be nearly as good as they were. They rocked the concert, but Shinedown was the king of the stage on that night.
i absolutely love this song, there are times when a song speaks to me and there is a song that has a great tune but this, this is a great blend between the two for me and is now my new theme song~! absolutely brilliant.
Close. And My Little Pony is for fucking four year old girls and ONLY for four year old girls, and that anyone who is a male who watches it deserves to have their dick chopped off. THAT's how you do it.
Heroes are typically people you look up to... People you aspire to be. People often get so caught up in trying to be someone else, to follow in their footsteps they forget to live their own life and live independently. At least, that's my take on it.
I used to listen to this all the time when it came out. But I haven't heard it in years, just thought about it today and then ended up watching that episode of The 100 so I'm back because of it
I agree. Why does everyone use comments as an excuse to pick a fight? It really grates on my nerves. I come here for the music, and I wish that "haters" would just get over themselves and go do something active and worth while.
I think the 'Kill your heroes' part means more that it's okay to look up to others, but don't think what they do it unbeatable so you should never try. Kill your heroes figuratively, and become your own hero. And I totally agree with you on the rest ^^
