This is why I wish albums were still recorded live, straight to vinyl. This is fucking great. 10000000 times better than the studio version (as good as it is).
It's more natural, but less polished. I appreciate both styles, but I think I appreciate the common studio versions more. I suppose I'm in the majority, as that's what an overwhelming majority of artists do now-a-days.
They have not been sitting back on their collective laurels during the pandemic, clearly. The evolution of this band has been such an epic journey to witness, and their raw talent keeps shining through. Great engineering always with their tireless energy always infectious. Love it.
Why is everyone saying this version is SO much better than the album one? It literally sounds exactly the same but just unmixed. Seems music snob elitist mentality of live is always better (Don't get me wrong, I love this live, I've been to 3 Awolnation shows this year alone, just saying the album version is great as well)
Criminally underrated group! And much better live than their studio albums as this video shows. I know this was studio mixed, but all together live seems such a better fit for them. I grew up punk and thrash and metal, but I dig these guys. Who else here listens to this after SLAYER? LOL
@Teddy Holiday some people just don't like rap not because just who is rapped and started by which is predominantly african americans but ofc you're half right some people just don't like rap because its mostly done by african americans
Hey guys I might upload this lyric video someone made for Some Kind of Joke it kinda depends on if you wanna see it or not. I think the original creator either might have had the video taken down because it was copyright? or it might be just because the lyrics are wrong in the video but it's still a cool video anyway.
I absolutely love that guitar tone. It's so... Thick, I guess? It's got balls, as Angus Young would say. I wonder how the guitarist has his amp set, and which pickup he's using. Ordinarily I'd assume bridge, but the tone sounds more like the neck pickup to me, or the bridge pickup with the tone turned way down. Either way, this band fuckin' rules. Wish I had gotten into them sooner.
Sorry to hear this recording studio is no longer with you due to the California wild fires, hopefully you guys come up with something just as good and as meaningful sooner than later!!
That is a little part from a song in their new album. The song is called "Sound Witness System" and someone I think figured out what the lyrics were at that part which they said it was probably "Ringing in your ear" which I thought made sense.
I Love Your clothing , it's like everything I got coming back to me eaten by animals or moth or something or just cut up . I cccccannnnnnnnnn't BEL IEVE!
78Crunchyforever That’s what time does best, making you look old. Also, I believe he turned 41 last November. To me looks don’t matter much long as he’s belting out that kick ass rage am I right?
