Hi Namrata. Thanks for the wonderful tutorial. I have one query, i want to automate this migration. Like whenever there is a file uploaded to a particular S3 bucket object. It should trigger dms service and upload the data to RDS.

Hi Namrata, Your tutorial was really very helpful. I have a query, I'm trying to migrate data from S3 to RDS PostgreSQL using cloudformation via drone pipeline. Resources are getting created but Task is not starting automatically when I start the task manually it is taking more time(more than 5hrs but still running). Please guide me, what should be done

Whenever I'm trying to load a csv file where last column is of integer type, than it is successfully uploading data to mysql db. But when the last column is string and all string values in csv are in double quotes (ex- "abc"). There is delimitator error. like 2022-01-07T10:56:30 [SOURCE_UNLOAD ]E: Data error found: No delimiter found after a valid value on quotes mode - file: /rdsdbdata/data/tasks/FXU5BVIYSNQ33B4GS7F2F4S2GJJFUASEZHJOTDQ/bucketFolder/us_nv_company_list/corporation_result/corp1.csv, Record number: 2, Offset: 58 [1020417] (csv_util.c:416) only happens when last column is string and values are in " ". I tried manually adding endpoint attributes (CSVRowDelimilator) which AWs DMS provides during endpoint creations. But no solution. Anything u can help with this issue will be grateful.

Hi Mam, It was a very helpful tutorial. Can you help me with this, please? I'm trying to migrate two different tables from S3 (two CSV files under the same S3 bucket). so my question is can we have a schema of both tables under once JSON file and run one DMS task?

In my case I am trying to move data from s3 to dynamodb, everything works perfectly including the table being created but no rows are loaded from some odd reason. What could be the cause of this?

can u provide s3 bucket policies and IAM policies in real time scenario sister....... and i have a scenario kindly solve and it is if I have an aws root account and I am having 3 iam users namely user1,user2,user3 at the same time 3 buckets namely bucket1,bucket2,bucket3 in s3 I want a scenario such that all users can see all the 3 buckets(read all buckets) but user1 can only access bucket1(read, write, delete) and can't enter in to other buckets and the same condition must apply to other users and buckets and was enthusiastic about ur work besides enjoyed watching every video thank you so much........

Give permissions at the resource level in the policy. Something similar to the below - { "Version": "2012-10-17", "Statement": [ { "Effect": "Allow", "Action": "s3:*", "Resource": [ "arn:aws:s3:::", "arn:aws:s3:::/*" ] }, { "Effect": "Deny", "NotAction": "s3:*", "NotResource": [ "arn:aws:s3:::", "arn:aws:s3:::/*" ] } ] }

Its difficult to debug online. If someone else has faced the same issue they might be able to post why it happened and what they did to resolve.
