Yeah, it's just a Google Sheet, I think. Nothing Fancy, and I only add effects as I use them/assign them. I'm kinda into making spreadsheets lol! You know, I never got into the computer editing for the FCB. I understand it makes it a breeze, but, no joke, I actually enjoy programming the FCB. My only issue is when I have to make one change to a LOT of pedals. Then it gets tedious. Plus I think the copy/paste function is a bit buggy. I follow all the steps but there's always something a bit wonky as a result lol.

Great video can you plz help i have GR55 and this middi controller i assign volume pedal but its working only on and off how can i increase and down volume levelel with expression pedal and same as wah its only on and off not gives me wah wah while up and down the pedal
I’m sorry, I’m not familiar at all with the GR55 😓 The programming on the FCB1010 is dead simple though, assuming you’re assigning the pedal the correct CC in the FCB that matches the function in the GR55. Sorry I’m not very helpful here.
if i get it correctly you have to do the cc assign for the entire and bank and every bank you use in the fcb and if it's set for scenes in switches 1-8 for example you have to do this 8 times. right? is there any pc editor that can help edit the fcb quicker and more comprehensively that you can recommend?
Hmm. Not sure I understand your question. There are 10 banks on the unit indicated by the number on the LED. Each switch, 1-0, can have up to 5 PCs, 2 CCs, 2 EXP (which each also get a CC) and 1 note. You can copy presets or entire banks (see the manual for specifics) so I think the answer to your question is yes, but there’s an easier way. I do believe there’s a PC editor. I’ve never used it, but some swear by it. Just Google it; I’m sure it’s out there and free :)
Any help to have the exp pedals always on? I always have to press 8 or 9 to get input from exp pedals. It's hard to do switch between effects and also having to always press 8 or 9 to active the exp pedals.
Yep; you have to reset the FCB1010. At some point, you must have turned them off (or downloaded a profile where they weren’t always on) because they’re on by default for every preset in the stock FCB1010 FW. it sucks, but that’s the only way, other than going through every preset and manually turning them on. Oh, and make sure you set the Axe to their CC based on what function you want them to have, not the other way around.
I'm just using the stock one. Reason being, I can do anything I need to do and the Axe doesn't provide feedback to the FCB1010 no matter what - so any additional benefit the "upgrade" chips confer is pretty much pseudo; meaning, if it shows the on/off state of an effect, that's only as the FCB has stored it, not necessarily as the Axe has stored it. So you'd have to make sure everything was sync'd perfectly. Not a huge deal, but also not enough of a benefit to make me change out chips.
QUESTION, I got everything working now bud EXP2 does have a diffrent velocety curver then EXP1 , Like if I push exp 1 Frome heel to toe it goeas seemlesly from 0-127 bud if i do it with EXP2 nothing happens till I am at halfway, and from there on it transissions from 0-127. As ifthe previous owner had manupulated something to make it more sensitive. I dont think it is meant to be that way.. Has someone a IDEA??
Go to the manual mediadl.musictribe.com/media/PLM/data/docs/P0089/FCB1010_P0089_M_EN.pdf and look at page 12. I think you just need to calibrate the pedal. Cheers!
First, thank you very much for doing these super helpful videos ! I followed carefully this tutorial but I am only getting to make it work the pedal B. When I press "Learn" on FX3 midi/remote menu, only pedal B is assigned to CC#14. My pedal A is working, cause it can be checked while calibrating them. What am I doing wrong ?

@@Danielguit I wish. That’s why you NEVER change the CCs of the EXP pedals. Leave them as they came. I’ve even just reset my whole FCB1010 because I realized I accidentally changed the EXP CCs and didn’t want the hassle of going in and re-configuring each one.
This thing is just impossible. I spent the whole day on it and did manage to get it to change scenes but the volume pedal had no range, only max and min. I never figured out how to change presets. I think it would be wiser to spend $750 and just get the Fractal branded pedal. These videos may be the only information out there in how to actually set this up, so thank you for that. I think I will try to use this foot controller with Apple Logic for synthesis and if that doesn’t work I will return it.
I did end up getting the FC6. Nowadays, I use my FM3. What exactly seems to be your biggest issue? I can't recommend highly enough to keep a spreadsheet of the CCs you assign to what functions. Also, anything involving the expression pedals will require some finagling in the Axe itself; that won't be solved by getting an FC6 or EV1: As long as you have the correct function assigned to the EXP A or B's CC, and the values for toe up/down set at 000 and 127, the rest is in the Axe. I'm honestly not even sure what all the functions in the EXP modifier options do, but I somehow get it working with some trial and error. I'm happy to help if you've got specific questions. Yo! Thanks for your videos. I need some help with exact FCB1010 I did all previous but my pedals are just not doing that thing on 1:16 :( How can I solve this problem? Also pedals are ON, I’m using BIAS FX2, I’m clicking “learn” on volume pedal (added to my preset in app) and it gives me “NO MIDI INPUT WAS RECEIVED” Thanks for response
Hmm. That sounds like a computer issue to me. I wish I could be more helpful but without actually being there and seeing all your settings and connection and application settings, it’s hard to diagnose an issue. All I can say is that if you settings on the FCB are correct and Bias isn’t getting them, then it’s probably computer-related. I would test this by trying to control something else with the FCB to make sure it’s sending MIDI.
I guess I am late for the party, but I have a question: is the pedal then only assigned for the selected preset 01 or for all presets? As you started configuration on preset 01...
They are on by default in all of the FCB's presets and all assigned to the same CCs. I forget which ones, exactly. But if you leave them assigned to their defaults (and check what they are) then they'll work the same in EVERY preset on the FCB. Otherwise, you'll have to assign them manually in each one. I can't remember off-hand what their default assignments were, but I do remember wishing I had just left them alone and changed the settings just in the Axe. I only use my FC6 these days for it, so I haven't messed with this pedal in some time.
@@UglyBunnyJase Ok, got it. When you set the CC command for the external pedal in the AxeFx/FM3, instead of choosing a value you can push a button to "learn" the CC command. So in learn mode you move the pedal and the respective CC command is entered as value, which is in my case the factory default that is working in all presets. Cool... For me it was 07 and 27...
When you go into edit mode for your patch, set the CC of either pedal(s) 8 or 9 to CC#16 - whichever pedal you want to use for expression - with values 0 and 127 (min/max). But remember as soon as you step on another pedal on the FCB, you'll have to re-program it. I recommend just setting your G Major to whatever the FCB is programmed to by default (not sure off hand, just go into edit mode and look).

@@jacksoncrate left expression pedal is controlled by pedal # 8, and the right exp pedal (EXP B) is controlled by pedal #9. I suspect it would be CC#8 by default but don't quote me on that. You can check it in edit mode or possibly the manual will say what the default it. IMO, it's not wise to change those on the FCB since EVERY patch has both those activated by default and it's more work to change it than it is to change the effect unit's assignment of what those particular CCs do (ie, what CCs 7 & 8 do).

@@jacksoncrate No, you don't want both pedals assigned to the same CC. You want each pedal to be left default and change the MIDI assignment within the G Major to match those of the FCB's default CC#s. If, however, you cannot change what CC is Wah and what is Volume within the G Major, then yeah, you'll want to change the FCB's pedals' CC#s to correspond to the correct functions in the FCB. With the Axe Fx III, though, you can assign any function to any CC - so I guess I automatically assumed every unit had that ability.
At the time of first seeing this I said I would rather pay the money for one of the FCB fractal units designed for the afx3 rather then go through the learning curve for this behhinger unit. Regardless of the price.
Just to clarify, I got the FCB at the same time as the Axe Fx III, but only because it was cheap and the FCs hadn’t been released. These days I gig with the FM3, but once I got the FC6 for my Axe, I shoved this in a box and never looked back lol.
@@UglyBunnyJase gotcha. Ya this Fcb is for hardcore midi techs. Which you certainly seem to be! But good choice with the fcb. That AxeFX 3 is unbelievable. It never ceases to surprise me with its authentic analog amp and effect feel each time I play it.
