Are those a good tire for rock crawling? They got some awesome looking tractor tires and rims for $110 bucks I’m having a hard time trying to make up my mind
It's been a long time since I built this rig, but the tires are NOT any good for crawling. I couldn't even tell you how they handled in the mud as I never took her in the mud. This build was mainly for fun and for looks. Proline Hyrax with Predator compound was my go-to tire for crawling along with 2 stage foams. The Duratrax Deepwoods were pretty good tires, too.
I wanna wide tire at least 60mm and around 130mm tall. Looks like I’m gonna have to find the tires I want then buy the rims separate. I just hope I pocket out the right rim width wise. Does any 2.2 rim fit any 2.2 tire?
@@DanosGarage I ended up getting these rims HOBBYSOUL Wide 1.57'' (40mm) 2.2 Beadlock Wheels Adjustable 4 Offsets Rims Silver Blue color For Gen8 Everest gen 7 Pro / SCX10 Capra Wraith Ryft / TRX4 AMG 6x6, (4-Pack). And for the tires I found some on eBay 4X 2.2" Mud Grappler Tires Tyre 150mm Black for RC 1/10 Axial SCX10 90048(RR10)
Killer build 👍🏼. I also have one I've been working on, guess I should make a little video so people can see it. I'm pretty proud of it myself 😎. I definitely need me some of them tires
@@DanosGarage I fear mud 🤣. Well not so much the mud but the maintenance afterwards. I have a clean RC phobia I will literally lose sleep at night knowing one of my rigs is dirty on the Shelf 🤔🤣
@@bassanonymous4923 I do like to keep my rigs "somewhat" clean, but I want to throw mud all over and just have fun!! The clean up is just part of it all!!👍
