Amazing. I followed this vid and the torque twist problem in my SCX10 almost cleared entirely. I cannot understand the theory involved, but it just works perfectly.

Your video is very well done. Followed it, another one on basic transmission building and the axial manual today to mirror mine. While I was doing it, I was looking at the plastic spacer that goes over the top shaft and said "hey, I bet a bearing would fit there to offer support for that top shaft. I slid a regular 4mm wide tranny bearing in and realized it was too wide. I confirmed a 3mm wide bearing was available and thought I had discovered plutonium. I googled it a few times and found nothing. I had already crowned myself SCX-10 rookie of the year when I tried googling it a different way and found that it apparently by design. I will be returning my award tomorrow right after I pickup a 5x10x3mm bearing.. :)

6 years later I get my first scx10 and find this STILL helpful video.

Great instructional, I am going to do this during my rebuild (picked up honcho second hand.. needs some work)

This Mod, with the 43/13 Underdrive Axle Gears, eliminated Torque Twist! 😉

why didnt you just turn the whole transmission/motor around instead of removing that 1 spur gear to just to do that ??

Would it still work without spinning the skid plate around, I'm thinking more of to move the motor away from my battery more

My screws aren’t long enough when I go to put the motor plate back on :(

What is the benefit of doing this??
