Axial Wraith Spawn - Off Road - Powerline Trail - Deep Snow First run with the new Axial Wraith Spawn. The newest addition to the 2.2 rock racer line-up!
tricked again. . the pic and first seconds of video I thought it was some kickass ttc buggy on 54 inch Baja claws ..like a rock bouncer with a fiberglass body.. these rc vehicles are really detailed. cool stuff
MANOS RC The interior is now all Lexan, no heavy plastic seats. A few other tweaks were made too, like the non-coated shock shafts as well as a new servo and ESC.
Great video! That truck looks like it's a powerhouse. I like the ground clearance that it has. Seems to handle obstacles quite well. How fast can it go on pavement or just through the grass?
Robo Petzmeyer Thanks! This is 100% stock outside of installing a Deans battery plug, and running a 3s Lipo. No extra waterproofing or upgraded parts, and no breakage.
Bender Customs Bender thanks, this rig is in my cart at Tower. It's a long winter here (VT). Vid looks like it was shot in my neighborhood. Did you hose it down then hit with the compressed air? What about rust to the internals of the gear box - is it a concern? How many amps on the 3s? and that was okay on the brushed 20t? - and finally, did you go back for more? or was it - Okay, the project is done, let's move on.....How many packs have you run thru? I'm afraid of getting sucked into an endless upgrade cycle with this, which sure looks possible with all the hop-ups available - I would like to run it stock like yours at least for a while.
Robo Petzmeyer I didn't really clean it, the snow took most of the mud off. The internals can get rusty over time if you run in the mud and water a lot. I don't really worry about it too much. The 3s Lipo is fine with the stock 20t motor, as long as you aren't trying to crawl and finesse lines all the time, then the motor will heat up excessively. I have about 3 - 5000mah batteries through it now without any issues. They are pretty tough rigs right out of the box. I would only upgrade as parts wear out.
Great vid , this thing is a mule , I was on the fence but now I must have this . Thinking of going with the falken jeep model for purely aesthetic reasons lol
Great video there... I am thinking of getting the Wraith Spawn, but worried about having to upgrade parts - like most other RC cars. After the first few runs, did you make any upgrades? Love to see more videos !
IndiaHobby Thanks! We haven't made any upgrades. The Wraiths are pretty tough right out of the box. Only thing we changed was going to a Deans battery plug. First upgrade we would do is add metal steering links, as the stock plastic links flex quite a bit.
thank you for responding. i've had my eye on this one for a bit. it's a toss up between this and an scx of some sort, i mean in terms of which one i buy 1st ;). i have to say i really enjoyed the video. i'm a tool fan so the music is a plus.
