AXIAL YETI XL 1/8(or is it) scale monster buggy. Was one of the lucky ones to score one of these Rigs on Black Friday. $250 free shipping zero tax. Love the design of this monster buggy. Its been around for quite some time and recently Discontinued but still has tons of parts and upgrade parts support online 👍. But some key upgrades on it now. Cannot wait to give it a proper run time. #CommanderAstigRC #YetiXl

You have already done a lot of really good things to that truck! We do like our YetiXL. With a higher-speed pinion, it is simply wild. For the $250 black Friday price, you can't go wrong!

Will definitely play around with gearing option no doubt. Stock gearing even is plenty as well.. I don't mind putting extra money on upgrades especially from the price I got this for. Crazy deal couldn't pass up LOL 😂.

@@CommanderAstigRC I ended up actually lowering the pinion back down (don't remember exactly to what) to help with slow-speed/crawling. Still, fun on 6S! Hoping to keep my diffs alive!

Thanks very much bro. Lucky indeed. $250 for Yeti XL is insane LOL 😂. Tires, power system, transmitter and receiver alone are worth getting it. Definitely c a crazy deal couldn't pass up. It's a cheapest and biggest Rig I got LOL 😂.

Looks good man! I was wondering when you were going to do a video on this guy 👍 Good thing you got it cheap, you had to do alot of upgrades. Will be interested to see how you like it. Solid axle trucks are so different than independent suspension trucks. My Losi Rock Rey is also scaled weird. They call that one a 1/10 but when you set it next to a Talion it's pretty much the same size. This Yeti is absolutely HUGE! 👍👍

"Huge" is the WORD LOL 😂. Some RC company seems confused about RC scales sometimes LOL 😂. Wouldn't have gotten it if it wasn't for the price. Crazy deal couldn't pass up. $250 for a Yeti XL is insane. The power system and tires alone are worth getting it no doubt. I don't mind putting little money for an upgrade since it's cheapest Rig I've purchased LOL 😂. This Rig definitely something to get use to. Won't be sending it 💯 ft off the ground for sure or will I hmm🤔LOL 😂. Just gonna use and abuse it for what she's made for.

Cool Yeti TANK bro!! Very nice upgrades! The wider stance will help a lot on that platform! Such a beast with the Trenchers! The solid axle trucks do have a tendency to kick the rear end up a lot on jumps and running on rough surfaces..The shock mods you did should help! Look forward to the running vid man!! She'd make a good snow plow!! lol 😀😎👊💪🤘🤘

Thanks very much bro. This rig is a huge Beast literally LOL 😂. Love the design of this Rig. 250 for a Yeti XL man.. couldn't pass up. Snow plowing is definitely what I'll do next LOL 😂. Rear end kick up is what I noticed alot from this kind of suspension. I had that in mind for sure when I did the double spring system. I don't think it's a good idea to send her 50+ ft off the ground tho, may not be a pretty site when she comes back down to earth LOL 😂😜.. but who knows.. when adrenaline rush comes in.. lots of shits happens LOL 😂..

@@CommanderAstigRC I say it is for $299! Its super fast and lightweight and even though all plastic, it holds to Arrma tough for sure! I think you'd like it. It's a different platform but throw on some Trenchers and a bigger pinion and its a Truggified beast! The only weak points are the rear arms. I have 6s arms on mine now and so far, no issues! But its really fun just street bashing and drifting!😎👊

@@CommanderAstigRCWell you can go to 15, 20 or 26. 15 is stock. I think Rich uses a 20. I'd recommend getting the HR mount though. I'm running 18 in mine and its nuts! 😂 Plus you can get a better gear mesh. These 3s trucks are so easy to work on too. 2 mins, the whole motor and tranny is out! Center shaft is telescoping and spring loaded so it comes right out with just a push. Pretty darn cool!🤘

I'm always curious about this Type of Rigs man.. seen tons of fun videos on it. I wanted something completely different from what I already have. Super stoked scored it for $250 Black Friday sale. Couldn't pass up. Liking all the Mods and Upgrades on her so far. Cannot wait to get her out. I'd to see Arrma make this kind of Rig. I'll be all over it!

And strengthen your whole dry train !!shim it so there's no play!!!! key!!!! Are you attempting to bash rock racer slash crawler ?? Make sure you're good at air correction ( prevent nose diving)!!! Turn your electric speed control 2 a 1 connection??? When you use 6 cell!!!!??? Do you prefer to have all your way to the back and not in the middle? Don't hate the battery tray love it lol!!! If you plan on going in water?? Actual rear axle housing with grease !

Nice set up bro. Do you get rubbing issues with those tires? I agree with you on the battery trays. I have the hardest time trying to fit a 5000mah battery and tuck the balance wires inside. I feel it's going to break the tabs if I have a hard landing or roll over. Haven't thought about a central battery tray like your's but that sounds like a good idea. Let me know if it holds up well for you. I kind of don't like it without the power switch bc I'll have to disconnect it everytime I'm going to put it down for a bit. I don't like those scratches on the body clips.

Appreciate you stopping by and checking out the vid brother. Never had a rubbing issues with my tires especially since I installed the hex extenders, that's why my Yeti XL is standing a little wider for more stability. I prefer running one pack battery instead of two, less time consuming LOL 😂. The no switch is kind of a trade-off for me coz having a switch they sometimes switch off for big air landing but I know what you're talking about there. body clip scratches is due to my impatient lazy ass just jamming it in LOL 😂

Thanks very much bro. Loving this Beast so far. I usually run single pack and I'm not a huge fan of the double sided battery tray system to begin with anyways LOL 😂. I have 6s 5000mah last about 18-20 something minutes and I always carry extra with me every bash.

I use a regular single 6S pack. I don't use the double sided battery tray of this truck. I Modded and installed an Arrma battery tray in the middle Cage. So far it's been working out for me nicely.

Off to a decent start. Subscribe to barharborbasher he will guide you in the right direction to make this unreliable rig pretty durable. Differentials and transmission need attention to withstand 6s for long periods of time. Good luck.
