Question- does the AXIBO act as a charger when batteries are plugged in and mains power is also attached?

Mannnnnnnnnn, I've never regretted investing in Edelkrone more than right now. :| Not knocking them - their stuff is really well-built... but the setup has been fiddly and unreliable, especially with DragonFrame integration.

Honestly, I would love to see this system in the UK. I would also like a longer Truck Range, as I hope to use a Blackmagic Studio camera, but it has bulky integrated handlebars and I would prefer not voiding its warranty removing them. If this means making an alternate base as well (which could support a Roll Axis attachment later), so be it.

@@The_Daliban Shipping worldwide is not the same as having it here, cost-wise; to receive it you would probably have to pay in excess of $300, plus that amount again for import duties.
